02-7-2008 - Early Ultra Sound

My mood while writing this blog: Excited

So we went for our early ultra sound this morning...I was so nervous and excited and just couldn’t wait!!! The lady called my name and my DH and I went inside - I was told to drink 1ltr of water 1hr before hand (which I did) but it turns out my bladder was not full so she had to do an internal scan.

As soon as she stuck it in you could see the little baby - it was so amazing...the baby is 1.2 inches and we got to see the heart beat it was at 156bpm - I was so nervous that I forgot to ask if we could heart it and only realised after we got out =( but we could see it flickering away and of course I cried!!!

According to the size and my last AF she said I am approx 7 weeks and 3 days and am due on the 16th of February....but when I saw my doctor last and from what he told me I am 6 weeks 3days!!! It doesn’t matter the quicker I get to see our baby the better!

She said that everything was normal and as it should be...but to still be careful until about 10 - 12weeks!

We are going to see the doctor tomorrow to get my blood drawn and get the pictures from the u/s - I will let you all know how I go!

We are on top of the moon right now and just keeping thank God for his blessings and we continue to pray that everything will be normal with no complications and I pray the same thing for you ladies as well!
