03-9-2008 - A bit of a scare

My mood while writing this blog: scared but good

So I had a bit of a scare a the night before yesturday…I came home from work (work is really HECTIC at the moment) and I jumped in the shower as I was about to get out when I started feeling dizzy and fainted right there on the shower floor (I don’t even member falling) lucky Trav was home cause I couldn’t even get up….I just remember him yelling out to me and me screaming – I was okay - Just felt really light headed, I had some water to drink and sat down for a bit…Trav was obviously stressed out and so was I but it was late and I couldn’t go to the doctors that night (I didnt have any cramping or bleeding through out the night and even the next day) so I waited till morning to get an appointment with my gyno but he wasnt in so I called "Nurse On Call" which is this service that we have in Australia - Registered nurses are on call and give you advise on your situation...she advised me to go to my local GP if I couldnt get an appointment with my gyno....I ended up getting an appointment at my local GP but not with my normal doctor =( N e ways the lady I had was really weird and she was really soft spoken (and I couldnt understand her one bit)….she got me to lay on the bed and she tried to find the baby’s heart beat with this dodgy machine but she couldn’t….So she wanted me to go for an urgent ultra sound that day and booked it in for me, after that she tried to take my blood but they couldn’t find my vein – so the MOLE just jabbed the neddel in my arm (IT KILLED) and now there is a bruse!!! I knew nothing was wrong with the baby cause I am starting to feel the baby move a bit (it’s like popcorn popping in my tummy – SO COOL) n e ways I felt the baby move after I ate breakfast that morning….After seeing the doctor I went for my ultra sound - The ultra sound tech was a bit tripped out as to why she wanted me to do an ultra sound if I had no bleeding or cramping and then I explained about the dodgy machine and how she coudnt find the heart beat and he just laughed....As soon as he turned the screen on everything looked great - we saw the baby straight away he said that the baby was growing nicely and as it should be for 16weeks, the baby was moving around heaps and is looking so BIG now (I had a few tears in my eyes HeHe) We could see the baby's face, lips, hands and feet oh and the heart beat was 150bpm....He said everything was fine and not to worry but to take it easy!!! I have been eating well (3 times a day with some snacks in between - fruit, musli bars, crackers and lollies LoL) I know I need to be drinking alot more water than I do...So I started that as of today! I get my blood results back on Friday - so Im praying everything will be okay with that...Other than that everything else is going great and the baby is popping like crazy today!!! Juts thought id give you all an update =)

Oh and on another note- Me, My Mum and Mother In Law have been goign crazy with baby shopping...We have bought the cutest little outfits and a few of our friends have even bought us little gifts - Baby outfits, A baby album and a baby set - A baby certificate holder, my baby's first tooth box and my baby's first curl box - the whole set is silver and have baby pictures and the title of the gifts engraved in them! Also my Mum's friends daughter had a baby about 2 years ago and she has every possible baby thing you could think of except a rocking chair LoL well she is gettign rid of everything and my Parents are going to buy it for us....msot of the stuff is brand new becasue apparently the baby was really fussy and never liked sleeping in his own coat / bassinet or didnt like bathing in his bath tub....she also found alot of brand new baby clothes and singlets (which are nutural colors) It is such a blessing to have all this stuff - The only thing is Trav is a bit fussy and likes things to be a certain way....I know you cant just have crapy old stuff because someone is giving it to you buttttttt these people keep there stuff well and considering most of it is new plus the colour of the coat and drawers and stuff is white and we want to paint the baby room a "custard yellow" which will def go with the room...If there is anything we dont want - it can go to my Parents or Travs parents because the baby will be there when I go back to work! Anyways long story short we can pick the stuff up in a few weeks and she is going to give most of the stuff for free and the stuff she is selling will be at a very cheap price - I am just hoping and praying that Trav lays down his pride and doesnt get to fussy cause LORD knows this is a blessing and the money we save on baby furniture can be put aside for when the baby comes and I take time off work!

N e ways ladies....Sorry I keep writtng long blogs - it just seems like it's been forever since I have updated and I have alot to say LoL
