| 10-11-2008 - 24 week check up - 31st October 2008 | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Heya Ladies...Hope everyone is well - just thought I would write a quick update since I have the chance and have been sooooo busy these days!
I had my 24week check up done a few weeks ago...everything went well, He check my blood pressure and the baby heart beat was 164bpm...he said that everything is looking great and right on track - I have to go for my glucose test at 28weeks so he said to just go a few days before I see him - Im kinda scared and heard that the thing they give you to drink tastes gross and then you have to wait for like 1hr for the results...I might take in my pregnancy book and iPod HeHe....I did ask him if he knew what the baby's sex was but he did say that he choses not to find out until the day just because he doesnt want to blurt it out incase parents dont want to know but he did mention that his assitant knows - I was really itching to find out but didnt go through with it...I am getting sooooooo many mixed reactions from people about the baby being a boy or girl - at the end of the day I think all anyone wants is for their baby to be healthy and I know that is def what we want!
Other than that things are going pretty well - I have been feeling a little tired at night but I guess thats normal...Craving's have been for cake and cold fruit LOL, I havent put on much weight about 6kg's all up so it's mainly just baby and boobs LOL!
We have painted the baby's room and all the furniture has gone in - the theme is Winnie the Pooh (It is very cute) We painted cream walls and a custard yellow feature wall with a Winnie the Pooh border going all the way through the room, we also got Winnie the Pooh stickers to put on the cupboard doors and once the bedding and stuff comes I will take lots of photo's to put up! We have been really busy with the baby's room and planning the baby shower, which I am having on the 7th December so far 60 people have been invited but I think about 25 of them wont show up cause they are from my Dad's side of the family (and some of us dont really talk but I invited them to keep the peace) Anyways we have lots of games, food, decorations and prizes and for the baby shower favours I wanted "baby shaped cookie's" and I found some really cute baby shaped cookie cutters on ebay (a teddy bear, rocking horse, bottle, cradle and duck) and my Mother In Law makes really nice melting moment cookies (it's like shortbread cookies diped in icing sugar)....so we are going to pack 5 of each cookie in cello wrap and tie it with ribbon and a little thank u card - I cant wait to see how they are going to look - I hope they turn out nice! Ummmz other than the room and baby shower we also have Christmas and New Years coming up and then it wont be long till our baby is here - I CANT WAIT - Getting very excited but very scared at the same time!!!! HeHe
Anyways hope all you ladies are well and for those of you who are TTC, have had your baby or are still carrying your little ones - All the best and God Bless! Hugz and Kisses - Sharon xo
