26-11-2008 - Glucose Test Results and More

My mood while writing this blog: Tired

Last Friday I had taken the day off work (a friend of my passed away at the short age of 22years old and has left behind a 4 year old daughter.....he died in his sleep due to an asthma attack and possibly drugs - it was very sad and shocking and I have been a bit of a mess - his ex g/f (my friend as well) is absolutley shaken up and his daughter is not really old enough to understand what was going on - they broke up about 1 year or so ago because he was living a drug filled life, you could say but about 2 months ago was trying to get his life back on track....) so his funeral was last Friday...The church would have been packed with about 200 people and it was just so sad - right before the played a slide show of him they played a "voice recording of his daughter Chloe sining "You are my sunshine" and right at the end of it she said "I love you Daddy" it was just heart breaking and there was not a dry eye in sight! I have been thinking alot about it and not really getting much sleep :(

I was meant to go and have my glucose test that day but didnt make it to the hospital in time....so I actually had it done on Saturday - I was dreeding the drink but it was acutally nice...it tasted like "Sprite" HeHe and then Hubby and I waited around for about 1hr...which went quick becasue I had some company with me so it wasnt too bad! I saw my gyno on the Tuesday for my regular check up and to get my glucose test results...Baby is measuring right on track and he did mention that we might have a pretty long baby in there LOL, the baby's heart beat was a strong 167bpm! So the results on my glucose test came back great BUT I have very low iron :( I need to start taking tablets again and eating lots of meat and greeny vegtables...I mean I eat meat but not as much as I should....so now I have my husband, my Mum and my Mother In Law on my back about it - Dont you just love your family?! LOL I go back to see my gyno in 2 weeks!

I have been sooooooooooooooo busy these last few weeks - the nursery is pretty much done (pic's will be taken after the baby shower), the baby shower is next Sunday so preparing for that has been tiring but I have had lots of help so thats good, work has been hectic becuase I am traning our receptionist to do some of my work while I am on maternity leave and life in general has just been on the go!

So some news about the "baby name drama" LOL - A while ago I did a blog about chosing a baby's name and how Trav and I cant seem to decide on a good boys name and how he wants the YUCKY name "JERMAIN" and I honestly want to throw up everytime I hear it LOL I havent really touched on the subject after that but a few of our friends and even his brother kept teasing him about the name "JERMAIN" and how much they hate it and how it doesnt sound great....so anyways last week his brother and a few friends were over and the subject about names came up...We mentioned that we have agreed on the name "Jaya" for a girl and Trav said he wants to try and find some other boy names to which I replied yeah maybe we should get a "baby name book" - he did mention yet again that he liked the name "JERMAIN" but all of them just said ewwwwwwwwwww no way!!! LOL So finger crossed we will come up with a nice boy name starting with "J" that we both agree on - at least I can have peace of mind that "JERMAIN" is not the final say!!! If you girls think of any cute boy names starting with "J" please let me know....I dont mind the name Jarrell <------------- what do you think?!
