| 20-4-2009 - 2 Months Old | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Sorry this blog is a bit late...I have been so busy latley HeHe
Well Jayden turned 2 months old on the 6th of April...he had his check up a few days after that - He is now weighing 11.9 pounds (around 5kg's) and has grown 5 cm's since his last check up, he is doing well with feeding and is feeding around every 2-3 hr's during the day and every 3-4 hours at night...the nurse did say that a baby his age and weight should be sleeping around 5 hours straight (so hmmmmz - I dont know what to do to make him sleep for that long)
He has been sleeping is his cot next to our bed though and swaddling has been a life saver for me...when he was around 1 month old I found that he hated it and would try and wriggle his way out but now that he is bigger, he is used to it and even knows that when I wrap him up it "sleepy time" LOL...he WAS sleeping every 2-3 hours during the day but over the last week or so it's gotten down to 1hr or so (I dont know why that is...Do you ladies have any ideas why that would be?) and now at night I find that I wrap him up and will put him in my arms until he falls asleep and then I will put him down in his cot (because he doesnt fall asleep on his own and I dont know how to get him to do that) but then I end up falling asleep with him on top of my chest - sometimes it's so hard for me to stay awake so for the last 2 weeks...most times during the night he is in bed with us again....How do I get my self to stay awake and how do I get him to sleep in his cot for longer?!
I am still breast feeding and try to pump at least once a day to get him used to the bottle....he had taken to it fne but over the past 2 weeks he has been funny with it - he will suck for a bit and then bite on it and play around with it in his mouth...I tried to change the nipple on the bottle last night and that seemed to work so hmmm finger crossed....
Other than that he has been great - laughing and smiling alot and he just loves his "winnie the pooh mobile on top of his crib", he is also recognising me and Trav and the people he see's often - he is just growing up soooooooooo fast and sometimes I just look at him and think "oh my gosh your like a little boy already" LOL....I go back to work in about 3 weeks and then my Mother In Law and Mum will be looking after him...I dont know how I am gong to get through it though - he thought of not being with him is making me want to cry but at least I know he isnt with any stranger's!!!
Well I hope you ladies are doing well....I will try and update as much as I can!
Take Care and God Bless...Lots of Love, Hugs and Kisses xo
