31-5-2009 - 3 Months Old

My mood while writing this blog: Tired

I know I am a bit late with this blog but we only saw the health nure a few days ago and I have been so busy! So Jayden turned 3 months old on the 6th of May - He has been growing bigger day by day and is so intelagent - he holds his head and chest up high on tummy time, hold his own bottles, can do half side rolls, smiles alot and some times does these 2 sec's giggles! When we went to the nurse - she weighed and measured him and he is 6kg's, 65cm's tall and his h/c is 41cm - she thinks he is a bit on the tiny side but there is nothing to worry about - which is good! I also started back at work on the 11th of May and Trav's Mum has been looking after him (there have been a few drama's with my MIL but she only has him for 1 more week and then my Mum takes over for a few months - which I cant wait for LOL) anyways going back to work was not as bad as I thought it would be....I am still breast feeding and pumping while Im at work and he is taking well from the bottle - I think he was getting fussy because he is teething - YUP thats right my little man is teething already...he has been drooling alot, sucking his fingers and thumbs, has been getting watery nappies and keeps touching and pulling his ears, also his gums have gotten really hard and have a few bumps on them - over this weekend he was in so much pain (I felt so bad for him) we gave him some baby panadol and rubed some bonjela on his gums and that seemed to help.....we also got our self into a little routine in regards to sleeping....He sleeps from 9 or 10pm up until 2 or 3am and then wakes up for a feed and goes back to sleep and wakes up at 6.30 - 7am but over the last few days this has gone out of wack due to his teething - I just pray that it ends soon - I hate seeing my baby in pain!!! Also we tried Jayden on rice cereal on Saturday....we had gone to the health nurse on Thursday and she said that we can start him on cereal and solids anytime between 4- 6 months and I explained how I am back at work and would like to try him on some cereal this weekend because I would like to be there when it is given to him and I would like to give him hs first spoon (NOT my MIL - since she is looking after him LOL) and she said that was fine...HaHa she said to wait 1 hr and a half after he has had his milk and to only give him a desserst spoon - so I got his little bowl and sppon out and prepared it for him...sat him on his bouncer and started feeding him and first he had it in his mouth and then didnt know what to do with it LOL and then I kept making munching sounds and yummy noises and he got excited LOL - then I figured I would leave the spoon half in his mouth so he would know that he needed to munch it and that's what he did and then I said 'MmMmMmMm bubba is it yummy?' and he totally smiled and got excited (Hubby got it all on video HeHe) we tried it again on Sunday and he got a bt mad cause I was taking to long after each spoon but he enjoyed it HAHAHAHA and then my MIL gave it to him this morning and she said he was really good with it - Awwwww my bubba is growing up so fast LOL
