24-9-2009 - 7 months old

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

Jayden turned 7 months old on the 6th of September - cant believe how fast time is gowing!

He started at child care on the 7th of this month...the first few days were rough - but he is loving it, he loves seeing the other kids, and the carrers are really good to him (there are 2 other babies - 11 months and 13months) and the rest in his group are up to 2 years old....He is there 5 days a week from 8.30 am - 4.30pm! Since going there he is not so scared of strangers and he has sleeping really well - infact for the last 3 nights, he has slpt in his own room! He will have dinner at around 6.30ish, bath, cuddles and kisses and then off to bed at around 7.30 - 8ish and sleeps through till around 1am, gets up for a feed and then straight back down till around 5.30 - 6ish and then we are up at 7am to get ready for child care and work.

He is eating 3 solid meals a day and has expressed milk...although he is getting very bored of his solids now and wont eat anything mashed if it doesnt has rice or pasta and shreeds of things in it!!!

He had his appt with the health nurse yesturday...He on average is a small baby for his age???!!! He is around 26.77 inches and weighs 16.5 pounds (mind you he is sick and has lost a bit of weight)...she said she is not concerned about it - because he seems to be eating enough but she wants him to put on a bit more weight by the next time she sees him (when he is 12months) if not she will have to keep monitoring him!!!! Hmmmmz this has got me a bit worried....but I know he is happy and healthy so Im trying not to! She also asked me to start trying cows milk in his cereal - to get him used to cows milk by 12months, she also said to start giving him finger foods - cheese sticks, carrots, fruit - anything that i can make a bit soft and cut into fingers so he can eat, she said to try and give him what we have for dinner at least 3 nights a week - so he can get used to it and Im sure he will enjoy that because he is so over mashed baby food! HaHa!!!

Oh just a question does anyone else have little babies?!!!! (should I be worried)

He is rolling around all over the place and doesnt sit still - he is a little wriggler and you will carry him and he tries to climb up your arm - does anyone else little one do that?! LOL, he is rocking back and forth on his hands and knees and he is slowing starting to crawl a few steps and then passes out, he still loves bouncing up and down and still no teeth yet - feels like it been forever...but I am gonna miss that grandpa smile!!!

Other than that - things are going great...I am so blessed to have a wonderful family and such lovely friends...hope you ladies are doing well!!! God Bless and lots of hugs and kisses - Shez xo
