16-7-2008 - Ultrasound!!!!

Well, me and hubby went for our sizing Ultrasound today, and we got some awesome news. WE"RE HAVING A BABY GIRL! We went into the ultrasound knowing that there was only a small chance that she would be in the right position to see anything, but we got lucky. I am really happy, and it comes at a great time, because we have not been able to agree on a girl's name at all. Now we have real incentive to make a decision. I have a couple clothing pieces that are suitable for a girl, but knowing that we're having a girl, will help me to go through Ryan's old clothes and pull out only the unisex ones, and see where we're at clothing wise.

The other point to the visit was sizing, to see how big the baby is. The technician told me that the baby was measuring at 7 lbs 3 oz. Which is big, but not too scary, with an expected weight gain of 1/2 lb a week for the next 3 weeks. 8 lbs 11 oz. seems like something I can handle. Especially since we're hoping for a VBAC. My midwife is visiting on Monday, so we'll talk about the US and size then.

So excited!
