Write a new blog

My mood while writing this blog: okay |
So, Brynna is now 4 months old and things are so different from when she was new! She laughs from time to time (she moved through a snickering phase, but then the real laughs started), she can roll from her back to tummy now (the other way she got back at 1 1/2 months), she reaches for and grabs things, and she gets frustrated when she can't crawl to get to things. We've had some tough times. Around three months, her sleep schedule seemed to stop working for her, so we let her show us for a couple of days when she was tired and when she was awake so that we could make up a new schedule. Well that backfired. She got totally overtired and then nothing would get her to nap and she would scream for an hour and a half stright when up for no apparent reason (until we figured it out). Well, I figure during that time she stopped sucking as much or as hard (she is exclusively breastfed), and my milk production decreased dramatically. So then she started to lose weight and I went to the doctor in a panic looking for domperidone to help get it back, since she was only nursing about 2 - 3 minutes per side. Now I'm taking domperidone and fenugreek (checked with a pharmacist to make sure there were no interactions), and my milk supply is increasing and Brynna's gaining weight again (13.7 lb last night). She is always sucking and chewing and drooling - has been for about a month and a half now, and her gums are getting harder (as is her biting), but no evidence of incoming teeth. I figure it could be a while yet. So that's Brynna's update. I figure she'll be crawling by absolute latest 6 months, but probably sooner.
