I called the doc office to talk abt my trouble urinating and the nurse said she will call me back whether I need to come in..I told about the BH as well...She called back and asked me to come in the afternoon for a urine test/culture...By the time she called, I was feeling very down and sounded dull with all the pain..she asked if I had my glu test and I said yes on Friday...I don't know what she thought, but suddenly she said hold on, let me pull ur file here..then she said well, there is atleast 1 thing to be happy about, YOU PASSED THE GLU TEST WITH 126...That was the best news I really had for the whole day and I was jumping in joy...within minutes, I did not feel any more bladder pain and I was back to being me..May be I was just really stressing out and that's why felt all the pain...I went for the urine test anyway and now waiting for my culture result...

Tuesday , 11 Mar - Our First Wedding Anniversary

Our friends surprised us by coming in at 12 midnight exact with a cake..had lotsa fun cutting the cake, basting my hubby with cream, ...went to sleep at 2 AM...my god, we felt like teenagers...My sweetheart hubby gifted me a diamond pendant, it was so nice...we both worked from home today...in the evening, went for a portrait and had some belly pics...had dinner out and came back to home for our first anniversary night ;-)...All was fun..we had a blast today...

Oh and the doc office called, my culture came back negative, no UTI..hurray!

We went today for the first of my bi-weekly appointments..My hubby was very much looking forward for this appt since he is going out of country for 3 weeks from Mar 23 and he wanted to confirm with doctor about any possibility of pre-term labor..Actually he is going to our home country India for his father's first death anniversary..His dad passed away just 2 days after our wedding last year in a tragic accident and it was a horrible situation...It took us 3 months to get out of that and before we cud even think of honeymoon, I got pregnant and we did not go anywhere...well, we will probably go to Europe with bubs in tow...LOL..In our tradition, the son has a lot of stuff to do on the first anniversary and that's why he is travelling..but as the date nears, my poor hubby does not want to leave me here and go and he is totally ripped up...I have promised to be brave and keep our baby in until he comes back(by the time I will turn 34 weeks)... Doc said he sees no issue whatsoever and comforted my hubby..he is still upset but better than before....I feel very lucky, I love him, can't really ask for more caring and understanding...

Ooh..after the appt, I had a prenatal massage session...God, it felt like heaven...My massage therapist worked on my sciatica and it really helped me so much...She also taught my husband how to massage the sciatica so he can do it everyday at night for me....I felt so relieved after that hour and actually walked erect with no limping for the first time in 20 weeks...I recommend a prenatal massage to any one suffering from back pain and sciatica.

My yoga session is on Monday , Looking forward to it..will update once I go for the session..

Friday Mar 28

This is the first appt I went alone to the doctor's office this whole pregnancy as my hubby has gone to India..Heard heartbeat and they checked my iron..it was 8..seems low...doc put me on iron supplement..I have also lost 2 pounds..probably becoz I miss my husband..I took appt for Apr 15 as my hubby will be back with my mom and mom-in-law on apr 14.

Tuesday Apr 15

Just a regular appt..heard heartbeat..I have gained back 1.5 pounds..My baby shower is in 5 days and I keep getting excited abt it..Next appt May 2..Can't believe I have only 1 month to go until I meet my little sweet pea..can't wait..but also getting nervous abt the climax..will see..

Sunday Apr 20

I had my baby shower today..It was a blast..In the morning we had traditional pooja at home with just close friends and family..In the evening, my husband has invited quite a few ppl and we had a party at the Prosperity club house.

Friday May 2

My first internal check up today..I am a little nervous..I also have the nasty Strep B test today.Doc checked and told that 10% effacement..that's it..no dilation , nothing..guess I am in for a long haul in this..

Thursday May 8

When we went in for the appt today, I was thinking that I am going to be the same as last appt..Doc came in to check me and told that he is not going to do internal as there was no progress in the last appt..then suddenly he decided to check the baby's position and tried to locate the head..He was not so sure if the head is up or down ..so he decided to an internal..good he did that..coz we just found out that I am already 4 cm... waaaaaaahhhhhhhh...am I stunned or what...from nothing to 4 cm?? that's amazing as I had few BH but that's it....no real contractions...guess all the yoga helped..we are rushing home to get everything packed and get ready as it does not seem like we have time...oh, I am so scared, excited at the same time...God, pls give me strength...and let me know when it all begins...

Pragathi`s birthstory

I know the end was near but did not expect on 10th May itself..I woke up as usual at 10 AM .had my cereal relaxedly as I did not have any contraction or pain..then I got up to go pee at 10.30 AM when I felt a gush of water pouring down from between my legs..I was confused whether its my water or I just peed on myself..As I was wondering, my first contraction hit me like someone stabbed me with knife down there..then I knew...I called for my husband and we both got ready to go to hospital..called the Dr and told my contractions are 7 mins apart and I think I broke my water..he asked me to come over asap..my hubby and me went to hospital at 12 PM and they hooked me up to monitors..by that time, I had to pee and when I did, had my bloody show..nurse checked me and I was 6 CM..they got the room ready immediately and moved me in there..I was screaming inside with pain but maintained my calmness outside and asked for epidural..they gave me the first dose when I went from 7 to 8 cm..but it did not work, I cud feel the pain as I was progressing very very fastly..the anesthecist gave me a second dose when I was at 9.5 cm..luckily it kicked in and it was time to push..my daughter was in my hands in the next 30 mins..by God`s grace, the labor went smoothly, ofcourse with a 3rd degree laceration, but it was ok compared to the whole experience.. we both are back home all healthy..Thanks for reading my story ..wish u all good luck..
