25-2-2009 - had his first open heart surgery

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

okay, my little nephew who is 3 weeks old just had his first surgery. he was diagnosised with pentalogy of cantrell, a rare disease. after opening him up, they found that nothing needs to be done to his heart. to wait it out until he is a little bit older. after a long day of 9 hours of surgery, he is doing okay, a little swollen, but doing okay. could be better, he hasn't really used the bathroom as much as they docs hoped he should. hopefully in days, he'll be doing better. they also fixed his hernia around his umbilical. i'm hoping within a month he should be home soon! keep him in your prayers though, his name is tuyen (in our language, it means a son who is a winner)
