27-2-2011 - IT'S A BOY!!

Hello-Just wanted to announce the arrival of my baby boy. Noah Michael Hines arrived 1 day before my due date on February 21st after 36 hrs of labor and 3 1/2 hrs of pushing...it was EXHAUSTING!! The hardest thing I have ever done. Baby Noah spent his 2 day hospital stay in the NICU because I spiked a fever during delivery so he was at risk of an infection so he had to get antibiotics. Thankfully he got to come home with us. It has been a challenging first week at home...lots of emotional ups and downs. I have been trying to breastfeed but since being home he doesn't want to latch on so I have been pumping 8 times per day....very exhausting especially when you are then feeding Noah that many times per day as well its all I get done it seems. I am going to see a lacation consultant on Tuesday and I am hoping they can help me to get him to latch on again so I don't have to pump as often.
