04-8-2009 - 36 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: cool!

I dont know if Im totally ready, im certainly NOT wishing this pregnancy over any time soon. Am I the only one that wants to still be pregnant!? Am I crazy??

I had my midwife appt today and my platelets are down to 43, dont really know what it all means I'll need to google it shortly. She said it was fairly common in pregnancy so Im not worrying too much, I'll go back every week to have my bloods checked.

Im just sleepy, and have a pain in my pelvis when I do....well pretty much anything actually, so I'll have to stop trying to be wonder woman around the house and kick back with a hot chocolate once in a while! :) good times.

The nursery is ready with baby boys things and Ive plenty of clothes for him (all washed and ironed and folded in his chest of drawers...oooh I do love this part! getting everything ready!) The moses basket is in the livingroom so Mia can get used to it being here, I want as little upheaval for her as possible when the baby arrives,as Im well aware that she will be a bit confused to say the very least.

Im not at work anymore so all I have to do it sit and relax...and maybe put up a shelf or two and get a new carpet for th living room.NESTING? MOI?

I bought 4 bottles of Dettol discinfectant today and Im officially addicted to the smell, I think it reminds me of hospitals...and in a weird way it gets me excited. I love looking forward to very day I give birth, it makes me very happy. I also bought Mia a new book, she loves book at the minute, and this one is called Brand New Baby,about a boy expecting a new baby brother funnily enough! I hope she can understand at least some of it as its really cute, she may just enjoy the pictures, but we'll see. The first line is "Mrs Arnold was going to have a baby. She wore dresses. As big as tents." It made me smile :)

Anyways Im feeling great and I hope y'all are too!

I am thoroughly enjoying my big lovely bump and all the excitement that comes with the last few weeks!
