02-4-2008 - Surprise Baby Shower + New Car = Wonderful Day!

My mood while writing this blog:
Ok

Saturday my sisters in law, mother in law and my mother all held a surprise baby shower for me. It was great! My favorite things about it were:

1. That it was a "surprise" so I did not have to do ANYTHING to plan or prepare for it. No requests for a guest list or contact information. No requests for menu preferences. No requests for game preferences. I was just able to show up and enjoy myself without having to worry about thing. What a marvelous idea!

2. That they managed to get a hold of everyone I would have liked to invite. From my grade school friends to my newest coworker friends--everyone who I would have wanted there was there!

My sisters in law are incredible party planners and they kept the shower moving with lots of simple, but fun games and delicious food and beverages. It really was a lovely day!

Then, my hubby took me to the car dealership to trade in my coupe. Since we both drove coupes, one of us had to trade in our car to get a family-friendly vehicle. I wanted to find a nice SUV that would not require me to put any $$ down and would have payments close to what I was paying for my coupe. As luck would have it, we found exactly the deal I was hoping for, but on a car that was much nicer than I thought we would be able to afford--thanks to my hubby's great credit! Thank you, My Love!

And best of all, since we bought the nursery furniture last week, received all essentials off of our baby registry at the shower, and now have the perfect family vehicle we are officially "nested" and ready for our lovely little girl to arrive. Woo Hoo!
