19-5-2009 - Springtime OkMy mood while writing this blog:
Ok

Is it just me or are there a lot of pregnant women out there? It seems I notice moms-to-be with round bellies, walking around all over the place. I never noticed when I wasn't pregnant.

Springtime is here, which goes hand-in-hand with being done with the first trimester of sickness. Now I can enjoy the fresh air, go for a walk, and feel great again.

Perhaps my greatest challenge is self-empowerment. It was never my intention or plan to do this alone. But it is a blessing in disguise. This focus of the baby is helping me mature into a loving mother.

Deciding what is best for the baby is the biggest burden. Adoption would be the selfless choice. But in my selfish ways, I want to keep this precious baby and raise him or her. Love alone is not enough to provide for the child. So many thoughts and prayers...

My belly has bulged out some, but I have not gained any weight yet. My appetite is the same as it always has been.

Running is my passion. I did my first marathon in October last year. It's quite a challenge now to do more than 4 or 5 miles. It's still worth trying, as I know exercise is good for both the baby and me.

I don't think adoption would necessarily be the selfless choice, people are raised by single parents all the time and turn out wonderful! All that matters is that you love your baby and you do whatever it takes to provide for him or her. Kids don't have to be rich to be happy, as long as they have food on the table and the essentials that they need. You will be a GREAT mommy, and your baby will be blessed to be with the person who carried them, loved them, and has the same genes as them! Of course you want to keep your baby, it is a part of you! Whatever you choose to do will be the best thing for your baby, and you will have support no matter what! If you choose adoption, that will be great, and if you choose to keep the baby, that will be wonderful too. Good luck, girl!
