| 13-8-2008 - birth of my baby | My mood while writing this blog:Sore |
It all started when I got a second opinion on Monday July 28, 2008 the Dr. agreed to induce me on one condition, if I deliver at a hospital that my previous Dr. has no privileges at. He made it clear that a c-section was still a 50% chance due to the fact that my body was not ready to deliver. We put the big d-day in stone for August 1, 2008 at 6 am.
As I was admitted I was given the meds to thin out my cervix, every three hours. At my last cervix check around noon, I was barley thinning out. My Dr. called around 2ish and asked how I felt. I told him that the contraction weren't all that bad but since it has been a slow process, I'll agree to the c-section. I expressed my self to him by telling him that I know I tried, rather then just going for the scheduled c-section. He said he'll be at the hospital in a few hours.
He showed up a little bit before 4:30 and I was in surgery by 4:45. There was some complications so I ended up getting put to sleep. As I was getting put down, them people might of thought I'm crazy but I was praying out loud," God please get me through this and help me ease my pain along with me fears" Baby girl Howard was born at 5:45 Weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 19 ˝ inches long. I seen her for the very first time at 8:30 pm. I was in recovery quite awhile, let me add in pain also.
My hospital stay was three days and I must say that it was a whole lot easier at the hospital then at home. Everything there was so convenient, from the shower to the adjustable bed and food getting severed to me! I do have one complaint, the toilet! It was so low I refused to use it for the first two days…
As far as pain! Wow a can honestly say that tears fell from this faces almost about every time I got out the bed. It was a burning sensation right along with a pulling feeling. Nothing nice, but I can say that Gabriella is all worth it!
I was discharged on Monday August 4, 2008 and it was ruff the first night. It took me about an hour to get out the bed when the baby started crying. Gartrell wanted to give me a hand but I did not want it. I swear I prayed for God to give me the hand to get me up. Days are getting better little by little but some days seem like a step back.
