Dear Carter,

Well baby boy, we are getting closer. I am so excited to see you. I wonder every day what you will look like, who you will look like, what kind of temperament you will have. I am getting very, very uncomfortable and tired lately. My body just isn’t as strong as it was with Grace and Jake. I feel like you are taking up every square inch of my body. Believe me; I don’t hold any of this against you. I am just ready to have you be born.

Since I have been so tired, I have lacked all energy to get anything done. I have this feeling that once you are born and I can breath again, I will get this sudden burst of energy and be able to make up for lost time. I hope I am not setting myself up for disappointment.

I have been feeling very odd the last couple of days. It feels kind of like I am walking around in a cloud or haze. It’s not exactly a pleasant feeling either…kind of has me worried. You are still very active, so I think you don’t notice it. Perhaps I am just beyond exhausted and this is my body’s way of forcing me take it easy. But the harder I concentrate through the fog, the more panicked I get. I feel almost like I am going to start hyperventilating.

I think for the most part, we are ready for your arrival. We had a little car seat scare last week: all three car seats wouldn’t fit in the back of the car. So, I got on-line and tried to find Grace a smaller booster seat. Hopefully it will be in by Monday. I ordered you a swing and it looks super sweet and soft. I still need to find one of the baby monitors and possible buy another one that has a TV viewer on it.

Just 10 more days little one! I love you very much!
