24-8-2009 - Reminder...

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Dear Mommies,

Some of you know that my Mother-in-law passed away yesterday. She was the most beautiful person, inside and out. My reminder to all of you is to get life insurance. She was only 56...way too young to die. She did not have a life insurance policy. We all have very young children and it is our responsibility to protect them in case something happens to us. Since we are all relatively young, the expense is not too great. Stability for our children is more important than that latte a day or expensive internet, phone, or cable.

My FIL has no idea how he will now be able to afford his house if he should decide to remain in the home they built together 30 years ago. They, like many people have refinanced a couple times and still owe on a house that should now be paid off.

We are all doing as well as can be imagined right now. Our hearts are breaking a little more each minute. She was an amazing mom and grandma. Our kids are going to miss her desperately. We have no idea who will watch them now. It's kind of crazy to imagine that not only did our kids lose their grandma, but they lost their home-away-from-home.

So please...look into getting some type of coverage for yourselves. We just never know.

And Rikki, if you are reading this...heaven just gained the most amazing daycare lady and Jaiden will have the softest arms to rock him to sleep and comfort him.
