| 31-8-2008 - Happy and sore! |
My mood while writing this blog: Saturday August 31 2008 |
Well Mr Matthew Aaron is now here!how he Friday I went for my NST and they did not like his heart rate, so because they were going to induce me on Tuesday they decided to do it Friday, I was on Pitocin until Saturday morning, and as the contractions increased his heartrate would go down to the 60's, so we did a c-section.
At 10:44am August 30 2008 my lil strong man made his entrance and he was 4lbs 9 oz 17 1/2 inches long. He didnt cry too much, which kinda scared me, but he got a 9.9 on the Apgar which is good, he is not in the room with me he has low platelets so they gave him some, they have some tests to run on my lil man, but all in all they say he is doing a lot better than they expected. So here is hoping they'll allow him to come into the room with me. My aunt is letting me use her laptop, so I cannot put pics up right now, but we are both doing okay, I am sore, but happy he is out, he looks just like his father, he is my handsome lil man:)
Thank you for all of your support and prayers I definately believe that helped me and my lil one out :)

Monday, 1 Sep Hello there, my name is Alita and i am from week 22. Firstly i just wanted to offer you a huge congrats on the safe arrival of your gorgeous little boy, and I sincerely hope all is well with both you and him.
I know you are shattered right now but when you are feeling better i would be really grateful if you could help me with my query. I had a phonecall out of the blue ages ago to say that in my results i had tested positive for both parvovirus and cytomeglavirus. They did not know why i had been tested for both as it was not usual practice at the eight week appointment and obviously i did not know why either. She wanted to know when i had contracted it (since i did not know what CMV was i couldnt tell her), so she said that it probably meant i had chicken pox as a kid. I was scared by this point as i did not know what either thing was and she couldnt really tell me what they meant either. She ended up telling me that she needed to go and talk to a consultant. When she called me back she said that there was nothing to worry about and that i could carry on as normal and i did not need to see a consultant about this. Because they are the experts i didnt thunk anymore baout it and moved on. And then stupidly i started to look them both up on the internet the other day just out of curiosity and as you are probably aware the stuff on CMV is frightening. I panicked and then i found your entries on here. What is the differene between me having CMV (which the midwife said most adults have) and my baby having it. How do i know she hasnt got it from me? I have had two routine scans and all appears normal with baby but im scared that maybe they just havent been looking for any CMV related problems and maybe she isnt alright after all? After all youve been through i hope not to sound sensational and over-excited, i am keeping t in perspective and have faith in the consultant saying that i have nothing to worry about, but if anyone knows about this you do and i was hoping that you could just share your thoughts on my situation if you get the chance. Once again, congratulations and lots of love x babyoneisaboy -

Monday, 1 Sep I knew it !! There was something telling me he was going to be born. I'm so happy he got such a high apgar score. A lot better than the 1 and 6 Joshua got.He was fine after 15 minutes, but him coming out not breathing at all scared me half to death !! They said he would score a 9 after 15 minutes, so Matthew beat him. It will probably be a little bit before you take him home. 4 -9 is still pretty small. Darn placentas !!At least you'll get some use out of the preemie clothes. Again, I'm so happy for you. Many prayers still going out to you , Matthew and a quick recovery.C-sections hurt!! shellybelly81 -
