May 2nd: CD 5 - AF is gone / Baby Danced
May 3rd: CD 6 - Nothing
May 4th: CD 7 - Headache
May 5th: CD 8 - Baby Danced
May 6th: CD 9 - Nothing
May 7th: CD 10 - Lots of CM / Stringy

AS YOU CAN SEE MY MONTH WENT OUT THE WINDOW. THERE IS NO WAY I COULD BE PREGNANT THIS MONTH. MY DOG IS REAL SICK AND HUBBY IS TAKING HIM TO THE EMERGENCY PET CENTER.
May 17th: CD 20/3 DPO - Nothing
May 18th: CD 21/4 DPO - Nothing
May 19th: CD 22/5 DPO - Nothing
MY DOG, SPANKY, HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH ADVANCED LYMPHOMA. I WILL BE ON A PLANE HOME TOMORROW AS I'VE BEEN IN ATLANTA SINCE SUNDAY.
May 20th: CD 23/6 DPO - Nothing
WE SAW THE SPECIALIST TODAY...HE ONLY HAS ABOUT 6 WEEKS (GIVE OR TAKE A FEW) OF HIS TOO SHORT LIFE LEFT. HE IS NOT IN ANY PAIN AND WE DECIDED NOT TO DO CHEMOTHERAPY AS NO ONE KNOWS WHAT HIS QUALITY OF LIFE WOULD BE AND THAT WOULD ONLY PROLONG THE INEVIDABLE ABOUT 6 MONTHS (MAYBE A YEAR). HE HATES DOCTORS AND SHOTS SO WE COULDN'T DO THAT TO HIM AS HE WOULD BE MORE MISERABLE. WE DECIDED TO GIVE HIM PREDNISONE (WHICH MAY FIGHT SOME OF THE CANCER CELLS OFF) AND KEEP HIM AS COMFORTABE AND HAPPY AS POSSIBLE. HE WILL LET US KNOW WHEN IT'S TIME BUT THE DOCTOR SEEMS TO THINK HE WILL GO TO SLEEP AND NOT WAKE UP WHEN GOD CALLS FOR HIM.
May 21st: CD 24/7 DPO - Nothing
May 22nd: CD 25/8 DPO - Nothing
May 23rd: CD 26/9 DPO - Baby Danced
May 24th: CD 27/10 DPO - Nothing
May 25th: CD 28/11 DPO - Light Spotting/Bleeding
May 26th: CD 29/12 DPO - Light Spotting
SPANKY DOG SLEPT THRU THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT (WHICH MEANS HUBBY & I DID TOO). HE'S BEEN PLAYFUL AND EATING GOOD. WE ARE THINKING ABOUT GETTING ANOTHER PUPPY FOR HIM TO HELP US TRAIN. HE IS SUCH A WELL BEHAVED DOG. HE NEVER LEAVE THE PROPERTY WITH OUT US SAYING IT'S OKAY (MY MOM LIVES NEXT DOOR) AND ALWAYS GOES RIGHT TO HER BACK DOOR TO BE LET IN. PLEASE KEEP US ALL IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

I am SO SAD to hear about your doggy. We lost our sweet Davey doggy to lymphoma 3 years ago. He was only 7 years old and it was so hard, and I still miss him every day. The prednisone will help some and give you a bit more time. All I can say is enjoy the good times that you have left, cherish every moment. I found it was helpful not to cry or be upset about it with him too much, I would go outside in the car and cry my eyes out and then go back in with him and be upbeat and happy. They really feed off our emotions and you want their final days to be as happy as possible. Getting a new dog could be stressful for him, and the object is to make him as comfortable as possible. But if he generally likes other dogs, then the companionship might be a good thing. There will be good days and not-so-good days. We had to get pretty creative to get him to eat some days, but I don't regret feeding him steak or chicken or any other yummy stuff. You'll know when it's time. Everyone told me I would know when it was time and I was so scared that I wouldn't, but I absolutely did know, and I'll never forget that moment. I hope your doctor is right that he will go peacefully on his own, though. {Hugs} to all of you and message me any time if you need a sympathetic ear.
