07-8-2008 - Nia is going away for a WEEK

My mood while writing this blog: SAD!!!

Well the time has come for me to let my little chic leave the nest for the first time without her mommy! My mom is leaving to go to GA for a week and has asked (okay literally begged with the help of my sister) that I allow Nia to travel with her for a week! I'm thinking "why didn't you start off small and ask for a couple of days - but a ENTIRE WEEK" OMG - I have been having anxiety since she and my sister asked! LORD JESUS - a week without my baby, my heart, my sidekick! Ummmm UMM UMM!

Nonetheless, I have agreed and my sister has opt to drive 6 of the 8 hours to meet us to get mom and Nia. SO anywho.... My heart is aching, my head has been hurting, and I feel like I am going to have a fit before I even let her go... LOL!

I will find something to keep me occupied while she is away - like calling every 10 minutes, taking sleeping pills, having one too many drinks, and giving my husband a fit! LOL! No the 17th is my anniversary so I guess we will make a week of just doing us and enjoying ourselves!

WELL ladies please pray for my strength... I may be on the first flight out of here Sunday to get my baby!!!! You just never know with me! (*_*)! Take care - Peace & Blessing!

Oh my word... AN ENTIRE WEEK, Poor Spen... I don't know if I could do it... I miss my Nhyla when I am at work for 8 hours... I have not been a day without seeing her, I don't know what I would do... I would surely have to have GOD's help for that... It makes my stomach feel nervous just thinking about it... :O)

spen...you know what i went thru when Kamryn went to Alabama with her dad for a week...i was sick....i did find a way to stay busy, but was still heartbroken almost...it is crazy...anywho girl..you know she is safe and in loving hands...sooooo try to get some things done around the house, errands etc...you will miss her and maybe even cry like i did...but she will be back mamaz...lol...

A week...you definately have more strength than me...girl I can't fantham parting for him for one night. But just look at it like this she will definately be in good care with your mom and sis. If I don't hear from you I will know you have hoped on that plane, lol! Take care and you and hubby try to enjoy yourselves and your anniversary. Have a good weekend.

Awwww sis you'll be ok. And she is turning into a big girl. And looking more like her DADDY. But still simply beautiful. Just in case I don't get back on here Happy Anniversary, I'll be partying it up that week to my bday is the 16th. TTYL, and leave the sleeping pills alone. LOL

Wow, those days are gonna drag by for you. Isn't it amazing how a week seems so short when you have no kids and go on vacation versus your new daughter leaving you? Hang In There ;-)

Wow a whole week, that is a long time, not sure I would be able to handle that. But just be grateful you have the relief, because there are some folks who have no one to help out. It sounds like you have a wonderful support system and you are truly blessed.
