21-7-2008 - 2nd appointment

My mood while writing this blog: irritated

I went to my second appointment today, and the office just does not meet my standards, especially since I constantly compare it to the place I went with my son. I just cant justify waiting an hour and a half and all I get accomplished is bp, weight and peeing in a cup... then after I finally get into the room the nurse lady let me hear the heartbeat, which today is the first I heard it, and I asked her how many beats it was and she goes "the machine doesnt tell me" no shit... so then I wait 15 more minutes to see the doc who presses on my stomach and tells me that my normal doc will want to see me in 4 weeks, and that I will be 18 weeks then,,, umm no I will be 19 weeks it even says that in my charts... so she sets me up to see some nurse lady that gives me free stuff and then says in 8 weeks I will get my ultrasound and an echo to check babys heart... so now Im pissed I have to wait til 24 weeks to find out what I am having... and the icing on the cake is when she walks in and AYden was crying now after being totally good for the last hour and a half sittin in a stroller not touching anything...and tells me if you can avoid it dont bring him to the appointments with a disgusted look on her face... Well My doctor knows that we havent lived here that long and that I dont know anybody but the lady I babysit for and her three girls.... and we made plans for someone to watch him for the ultrasound, someone that my hubby works with, his wife .. still a person we do not know.. By the way they said my ultrasound appointment will be over 3 hours long.. 3 hours.. with my son in Indy... I never had an appointment that lasted more then 2 hours start to finish and that was my ultrasound appointment..so anyways I go to checkout and the lady read the paper work wrong and made my ultrasound appointment for my next appointment, and said she couldnt make my 8 week appointment yet because she doesnt have september schedules yet.. I so did not correct her, so yay Aug 20 I get to find out what I am having! Hubby and I are going to research other doctors offices :)

Just to keep track.. current weight 114.5 lbs
