Congratulations again! It is always a relief to have it confirmed by a doctor. At least if you are treated as high risk because of your endo, you know you will be looked after well. (I am always high risk because of my pre existing hypertension). I am so happy for you and I hope and I'm sure things will go well for you.

Hi all, Well I was able to get into the employee health clinic at my work today as they are open on Saturdays! They performed a urine test on my and the doc came in the room like 15 minutes later and said "well I have good news and bad news" and I said okay???? he said "The good news is your pregnant, the bad news is you have a UTI".....I was SO releived!!!! But it is a bummer that I have a UTI and he had to put me on Amoxicillin which he said is okay to take while pregnant, he is also sending my urine in for a culture just to double check and if it is negative he will call me so I can stop the medication ASAP. I asked him if I could do a blood test to confirm and he said we dont need to, the second that urine touched the stick it was a positive, it happened VERY fast. He also said they have done lots of studies on urine vs. blood and they both compare the same. Woo hoo!!! I am still in shock!!! I will call to get into an OBGYN on Monday, he recomended sticking with a MD instead of a mid-wife since I have endometriosis and could be considered to be high risk. WOW this is all so new to me!
