18-12-2008 - 1st Appointment

My mood while writing this blog: Happy/Excited/and sick

Hey Girls, I had my first OB appointment today and they moved me back at 8 weeks today. My mom went with me since DH is in Fresno on business right now. First they took my weight and blood pressure and then a urine sample. Then I went into the doctors office where is desk and computer was and came in and had a long conversation with us and explained everything and answered any questions I had, ect. He then had us go into the exam room where he did a quick breast exam and a quick pap smear and then also checked the uterus or cervix, ect. Then he had his medical assistant come in and she held us the hand held ultrasound machine and he did a quick belly ultrasound...it was so cool to see the little baby blob again and we all think we even seen the little heart flickering. Its definitly growing since just two weeks ago during the belly ultrasound they could not even find the baby, they could only spot it during the vaginal ultrasound. Soooo things are progressing. He told me I wouldnt start getting real offical ultrasounds again until week 19! I feel so cheated out of a picture to show you gals! And it seems like everyone else gets to hear the heart beat and know how fast its beating but I havent had that quite yet either. I think I have to tell some of the rest of y family this weekend as the m/s is geting pretty bad and I carpool to work with my sister in law everyday....so its getting harder and harder to hide things. Also the doctor gave me a perscription for the nausia...its starts with a Z and he said its the best kind out there and wont make me too drowsy like the rest. Anyone try this before? Anyways thats all I have for now, my next appointment is on January 20th when I get back from Orlando:)
