20-11-2009 - Another trip

My mood while writing this blog:

So back to the hospital for me today. I had bleeding last night at work. Not just spotting actual bleeding. I was worried and scared, but I didn't go to the ER because all they did was upset me last time. And I had seen the heartbeat on wed. So we went in today. Saw the heartbeat again! It was 130 this time and everything is ok. Man quite the little rollercoaster I've been on this week! They said that the bleeding all looked like old blood. They said it was probably because of the exams and ultrasounds I'd had. It seemed kind of a lot to be that, but baby is doing great so I'm just leaving it at that. They couldn't see any reason for me to be bleeding besides that. I even got a picture of the ultrasound this time which I posted! The nurses and doctors were so sweet there. When I left they said to just keep coming back until I was reassured. She totally understood how I felt. It was nice not to be made to feel like I was overreacting or anything. They said that I have a 95% chance of everything going good from here since they've seen the heartbeat. I won't breathe really easy until 2nd trimester of course, but I definitely feel a lot better hearing that. Hubby got teary eyed again when we saw the heartbeat. It was so adorable. Cutest husband ever. Well I hope all you lovely ladies are doing well. Best of luck to you.

Arrr am really pleased everything is ok! As nzgirl said bleeding seems to be more common than we think. As you know i experienced the same thing, but it doesnt make you feel less frightened when its happening to you. As the nurse said, absolutely ANY concerns you have dont hesitate in going back for reassurance, after all thats what they're there for - it only takes them a few minutes to put your mind at ease so dont think for one second you are overreacting - your exactly the same as all the rest of us! Take it easy hun. Jojo xx

I have been on the same rollercoaster ride. I started spotting last night, and went to my OB. He did a ultrasound and everything seems fine. No bleeding today! Thank goodness.
