09-12-2009 - Dr appt.

My mood while writing this blog:

So yesterday I had an ultrasound. It was very exciting. The baby was waving his little arm during the ultrasound. The heartbeat was 172. The baby measured at 9 wks 1 day which is right on target. Went back for my physical exam today and they took down my information. The exam hurt! Apparently my cervix is like ridiculously sensitive. I had started spotting from the ultrasound yesterday and definitely bled during the exam and will spot for a while after. She said that it will continue to be this sensitive throughout the pregnancy. Which definitely sucks for the sex life but not much to be done about that. We hadn't had sex since I had spotted 3 weeks ago because I was a little freaked out about the spotting, but I promised to lift my ban since there doesn't seem to be much we can do about it lol. It still won't be a lot mind you, but my husband wouldn't forgive me for banning him the whole pregnancy when the baby isn't hurt by it. We got to listen to the heartbeat during the exam which was exciting. It was 172 again which I suppose is good I don't really know how often it can change lol. But everything is good with the little one despite my ridiculously sensitive cervix.
