My mood while writing this blog: swollen |
My poor poor feet! My ankles are gone! My feet are so swollen right now my ankles have completely disappeared. I can feel the swelling all the way up to my knees. It's just plain ridiculous!! My feet look so huge and walking up and down the stairs is uncomfortable. I've spent my day sitting at a desk and I've gotten up and moved around regularly, but apparently the drive home in the heat was just the end of it for me. My hands tend to swell when I wake up and go down by late morning and my feet tend to swell in the evenings but this is the worst it's ever been. I'm a little worried because they kinda hurt. I don't know what's too much swelling. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm gonna go prop my feet up for a bit and drink some water. See if that helps any.

Friday, 21 May Hi hun i totally sympathise with you. I couldnt wear my wedding & engagement rings from quite early in my pregnancy which i didnt mind, but once my ankles started swelling, blurgh it was horrible. Mine also hurt mainly of a nightime after being in work all day - i was sent home a couple of times on couch rest as they got so bad. Try and keep them elevated above your waist height when your sitting or lying down, maybes put a few cushions underneath your feet (i even ended up doing this in bed of a night) - if they get any worse mention it to your doctor/midwife on one of your visits as it can be ONE of the signs for pre-eclampsia....am not telling you this to try and scare you as its most likely that its absolutely nothing to worry about as water retention is very common in pregnancy due to the extra weight your carrying, but that was a big concern for me when i was pregnant, and where you and your baby are concerned you can never be too cautious! Get some well deserved leg rest hun! xxxx mrsjmickens1 -
