19-4-2011 - Teething

My mood while writing this blog:
Exhausted

Oh my word! I am so over teething!!! The waking every two hours that I dealt with last night was bad enough. Tonight it's been every hour until I just got fed up and picked up her up and took her to the living room. No one is clearly getting any sleep tonight and at least she's no longer mad. I however am oh so exhausted. I was not expecting teething to be the end of my sleep. I am ready for all of her teeth to just be in already. I'm too tired for all of this. I give her tylenol for the pain, but I have no idea what to do about her being unable to sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would really really appreciate it.

I use 'Boots' own version of the ashton parsons powders that lulabell mentions (dont think you would have a 'Boots' in America as its an english company) but basically they are a herbal powder that you rub into her gums & can be used every 2 hours as there's no medicine in them. Bonjella is another great help as it numbs the gums & provides relief for baba...my third solution (which I wouldnt advise) is, coz me and hubby worked full time & was exhausted, I ended up putting our little girl inbetween us in the bed so she could snuggy into me when she was needing some cuddles - and she's still here now haha Wont go back in her cot haha I dont mind tho as I love her snuggling into me AND I get a full nights sleep for work. Not everyones thing to do but you have to cope in the best way that works for you and teething (which has with my girl) goes on for MONTHS!!! Good luck love xx

i use ashton and parson infant powders. Just put the powder onto the tongue. Its good for teething pain and it also calms the baby which helps them to get a better nights sleep. Hope this helps.
