Just wanted to share with you ladies this story I read in an email once. It was one of those emails that gets forwarded around.

The husband came home to bicyeles and outside toys in the driveway. He was upset and stomped into the house, but to his surprise he saw that the living room was in shambles! Tv blaring loud, sippy cups, glasses, plates all over the living room floor, coffee table, and couch, dog was on top of coffee table licking up the leftover food. Toys spread out everywhere. But no kids or wife was in sight. He heard noises coming from back yard, and went to check it out. He saw that all 3 of his kids were outside going crazy and playing, and they were still in their pajamas at 6 in the evening! Fuming, wonderin where his wife was, he went into the kitchen. Even worse mess in the kitchen, refrigerator door was wide open, food containers were open and all over the floor. Dirty dishes filld the sink and countertops, peanut butter and jelly smeared on the walls. Cereal box open and spilled all over the countertops. He started to panic....what could have happened to his wife?? He ran upstairs and noticed that the carpet on the stairs were soaked. He followed the trial and discovered that the upstairs bathtub facuet was running, bathtub was overflowing along with bubble bath onto the floor and it had spread all the way to the bottom of the stairs. He went into the master bedroom and was taken back to see that his wife was laying down in bed and reading a book, calm as ever. He got furious and demanded what the heck she was doing! She said "You know how you always ask me what the heck I do all day? Well, this is what I DID not do."

Oh that is too funny. What I find hilarious about it is, my brother in law came home one day to almost the same exact thing. He had been telling my sister for about a week that she never did anything to make herself so tired. So one day when she finally had enough she did nothing to prove her point to him. That was when they only had two girls, now they have 4 and he has never accused her of being lazy and tired since. Sometimes the stay at home parent just needs a break from everyone.

Oh my gosh! That is so funny. And it is true too! They don't ever realize what we do until we don't do it, and even then they don't understand how such an "easy" job could be so tiring, since they "work all day" haha..Some days I wonder what life would be like if he was the the SAHD and I got to live his life for a while! I think he'd die :)
