02-12-2008 - midwife appointment

My mood while writing this blog: ok just really tired!

Hi there ladies hope your all ok......

Just thought i'd blog about my trip to the midwife this afternoon after work.

It all went very well my blood results from my previous visit came back normal or neg for things the tested me for there was a few can't remember what they all was now but all was fine with that, Blood pressure was normal, Urine was ok no more blood in it which is fab news! But there was keytones (sp?) in it which i keep hearing and don't know what it means so i asked and she said don't worry all it is is acid in your wee which normally is a sign that you haven't been eating or keeping anything down which is weird as i have been doing good the past couple of days since of been on these anti-sickness tablets and iv'e had an insane hunger after work yesterday and today which is unusual for me but good for a change as iv'e been avoiding food at times because i feel so sick.

Then she asked me to lie on the bed and i thought ok whats she gonna do now but needent of worried as she didn't say she was going to do this but she did, She got the doppler out and listened into the baby's hearbeat! Awww it was so fanastic to hear really strong and fast really re-assuring to hear that was by far the highlight of my visit she got it straight away aswell which some people of said she might have trouble with it at this stage but no she found it right away! I was soo chuffed!!!

Well thats it i think she just asked me if i had a date come throught for my 20wk scan yet but i said i hadn't recieved it yet but i know the lady said that it would be the week commencing 11th jan thats great because Mo's b'day is the 16th so if its on or around that date and we are lucky enough to find out the sex what a great pressie that would be for him! Since i have got my doppler from Ebay we like having a listen before we go to sleep which is getting to be quite a habbit but something we share and it's soo lovely and it always makes us melt i glad i got it i probably won't use it when i can feel the baby regulary kicking about as that would be reassurance enough but i would reccomend one to anyone for peace of mind only if your worried though like i was after my fall when i fainted.
