09-7-2009 - update! & Danyal\'s BCG!

My mood while writing this blog: happy and sleepy!

Hiya ladies hope your all well,

Just thought i'd write a blog and update you all on things as i haven't in a while, I just don't seem to find the time anymore i do pop in every once in a while to have a check on how your all doing as i still have to get my fix as i love this site soo much and am always excited to find out updates from you all and see pics of you and your gorgeous lil babies!

Well my baby son Danyal is now 4 weeks and 5 days old already!! Gosh it doesn't seem five minutes since he was born, He is such a lovely little chap im loving every minute of being his mommy, Even though the past couple of nights he has not slept to well as he has been throwing his milk up and last night he started having a coughing/choking fit and he frightened me and Mo half to death and his lil eyes were streaming after it and he sounded like he was really struggling i felt so bad for him i don't think he is getting up his wind to well as i can be there tapping and rubbing his back forever and he may not burp or if he does its a little one and he sounds soo windy afterwards! Iv'e tried Infacol which has helped a little and cooled boiled water which also helps so i'll have to see how he goes!

Also Monday he had to have his BCG jab in his left arm awwww poor little baba he cried but not as bad as i thought he would i had to hold him soo tight i hated it but i know its for the best, He had to have it because he is mixed race and so to prevent the chances of him contracting TB if any of Mo's family go abroad or anyone from there comes here and could bring it here etc.... So best be on the safe side really im dreading his 8 week jabs i cried at Ellie's as im sure i will with his!

I had him weighed yesterday he was 9lbs 4oz! A whole pound weight gain in 2 weeks which is great! As 2 weeks before he was 8lbs 4oz! He weighed 7lbs 8oz at birth and went up to 7lbs 12oz and has continued to gradually put it on which is fab! As i was told that he could loose weight at first as most babies do but as long as by day 14 they get back to their birth weight its fine, But with him this was'nt an issue bless! He is completley on formula now as i couldn't take breast feeding anymore my milk started to slow and he now wants 5oz or more every feed and i couldn't keep up and he would get frustrated and whack my bb's poor baba and it hurt me too! lol! But i didn't want him to flap so i just gave him the bottle and all is great he is on the breast milk subsitute the one thats easy on their tums apparently, Called cow & gate comfort its a thicker formula which is meant to be better its a tad more expensive than the other milk but worth it!, We did try the Aptamil breastmilk subsitute at first but his lil breaking wind episodes used to nearly knock us dead with the pong so we thought it might be that so we switched it seems a little better now so who knows hey!

He is such a little cracker always soo alert in the day now and soo nosey he looks everywhere trying to take it all in he follows me and my voice everywhere, Everyones says his eyes are lovely so big and dark lol and his skin has started to get some colour he's looking beautifully bronzed and people comment on how lovely his skin tone will be as his dad isn't too dark anyway so Danyal will have like a year round delicate tan im soo jealous as my skins like the colour of a bottle of milk lol!
