My mood while writing this blog: Blessed To Be Okay |
You know, One of the biggest scares of being pregnant?!?...cramps in your abdomen!!! This morning, around 5:45 am, I woke up feeling the worse cramps ever in my abdomen. It was so painful, I couldnt do anything but cry and squeeze the covers. Around 6:05am, they went away...a little. My husband leaves for work at 6:40am. And, he said if anything was to happen for me to call and he will take me to the emergency room. But, I had every doubt in my mind that something was going to happen, because I thought it was gas cramps. Around 7:00am, I tried to eat some cereal and it didnt stay down. Then, afterwards, I tried to drink some water, that didnt stay down either. I felt to the floor, every bone in my body felt weak. I had to call my husband to take me to the ER because I thought something was wrong with my baby. I didnt feel any movement all morning. And around that time is when I start to feel her moving. When I got to the hospital, the emergency room rushed me up to the labor and delivery room in a wheel chair. They said, around this time, a lot of women start having contractions and sometimes they have to deliver their babies. I was in the room crying my heart out. I thought they were going to take my baby. And, around this time, 20 weeks, a baby is unable to survive alone...to my recognition. They had to put me on a monitor, measuring the cramps in my stomach. They checked my blood pressure five times. And, three times out of those five times my blood pressure was high. They had to lay me on my side in order for the blood pressure to go down. Then, another doctor came in and had to check my cervix and make sure I wasnt dilating and make sure that I wasnt leaking any fluids. Luckily, everything was fine. They also gave me a white liquid medicine to settle my stomach. The lady said they had many cases as to where many pregnant women go into labor early because of dehydration as well. She said I was lucky because when I first got in the emergency room, she thought for sure she was going to have to keep me longer and take my baby. Well, I thought I would share my experience with you guys. It may not sound to nerve wrecking to you all, but it sure had me going. I guess its much worse when you are in the situation yourself... Thanks for reading...
