25-12-2009 - Braelyns Troubles

My mood while writing this blog:
Ok

Ok so I was induced dec 22 at 10pm they broke my water well she had a bowel movement inside it ended up being really bad and her delivery was terrible. I pushed from 3:10am to 530am but they had me stop a couple times for 10 min or so because braelyn wasnt in line with the birth canal and they ended up having to vacumm her head in to the canal well after that i popped her right out and she scored low on her apgar at first she scored a 3 than a 7 than a 9 well she is still hacking and her lungs are a little funky they ended up making us stay 2 nights because she got sick yesterday and hasnt been eating and sleeps and sleeps and wont wake for food her pediatrician said she was traumatized because her delivery was so rough and with the meconium being so thick. However we are home and she is doing better she is absolutly gorgeous posting pics soon (:

Cograts on your baby girl. Harley also pooped in the womb and for a week or so was a little slow on feeding and stuff because of this. His fine now drinking loads and his cheast is much better so im sure your little one will be just fine.xx

Its so scary when you see your LO is not well- but i'm sure she'll be super-duper soon. Birth is traumatic for everyone invovled and she just had it a little more rough I cannot wait to see pictures! Just remember our LO are much more resilient than we could ever imagine!

Congrats on having your little one. Hope she is feeling better soon. Owen had troubles feeding at first too due to high billirubin levels (jaundice) it took us about a week to get him to finally start wanting to eat instead of us having to fight him to. Hopefully your little one is feeling better soon too!
