09-11-2009 - more on hip pains

well i have just spoke to my midwife and the pains i have been having in my hips are just ligament pains and should subside by about 20 weeks!! and also wont effect my baby so thats great news! :-) just a little bit uncomfortable for me sometimes. i have been getting pains when i cough or sneeze aswell as i have had 2 c sections before so my scar tissue is very tender at the moment. that should also get better by 20 weeks too. well i hope so as i have a cold and i cant stop coughing and sneezing! i have to hold my stomach before i cough or sneeze. its just like i have had a section and its so uncomfortable. im glad its nothing tho :-))

So glad you were able to talk to your midwife about it and get some reassurance. I have experienced a lot of ligament pains in this pregnancy which I don't remember having before. Kind of odd, I would have thought it would have be worse in my first pregnancy.. By the way, I am now 23 weeks and still get ligament pain from time to time. Not very often, but it does sometimes happen when I get out of bed. All the best! Karin
