11-11-2009 - i have a water infection!

well i was a bit concerned about this pressure in my stomach and a tightening feeling just like braxton hicks contractions and peeing more than ever!! so i rang my maternity unit up and they said i should go to A & E as im only 15 weeks! so i got to the hospital and they took my blood and urine to see what the problem was. Turns out i have protein in my urine which means i might have a uterine infection. did another urine test today and seems that i HAVE got an infection :-( i was sent for an ultrasound to see if my baby was ok and everything is fine :-) seems really happy in there and everything is great. i have to wait for my midwife to contact me tomorrow and get some antibiotics to clear it up. sooo glad my baby is ok and that it was nothing serious! seems that the tightening is being caused by the infection as it causes the uterus to contract or something! well im glad its getting sorted :-)
