22-11-2008 - wrong dates?

My mood while writing this blog: freaking out!!!!

Ok, so at my dr appt yesterday (11/20) the dr said based on my pelvic exam I only felt about 6 weeks. I am stressing out trying to figure out how thats possible. Our sex life isnt the most frequent, were both in the mood at the same time maybe 2-3 times a month. And both of those times are usually arranged around my cycle and the pull out method is used as well. I have been trying to calculate conception dates based on when we actually had sex and adding to that the dates of my last 3 periods. Just to make as many calculations as accurate as possible. July 15th, Aug. 13th and Sept. 10 were the last 3 period dates. We had sex Sept 11th (we were drunk, but he says he remembers pulling out, and i was on my period) and Sept. 29th. Then again Oct. 4th and Oct. 19th, but didnt really get anywhere.... We were at a friends house, and i just felt really weird. I dont think what we did even counts as sex, but we both had our pants off, so Ill add that date anyway. Oct. 20th I took a pregnancy test, 3 of them just to be sure, and saw 2 bright blue lines before the pee was even soaked into the stick. My breasts have been swollen and very tender since late Sept. (on the 26th I went shopping for a dress to wear to a party and intentionally picked a dress that I could go braless with because my bras were all so uncomfortable.) I had simply attributed those signs as pre-period symptoms. I was supposed to start on Oct 6th or 8th, which i remember being grateful for since we had that party to attend on Oct. 4th. Based on what all the pregnancy/ovulation calendar/calculators that i have found on the web, it is next to impossible to have gotten preg Oct. 4th, because the period that I should have had would have washed everything away. When I try to match up my ovulation dates with the dates we had sex, even giving an additional 3 day "grace period" they dont match up at all. I think what Im most concerned with is with my other miscarriage, the same thing happened. My body kept acting like it was pregnant, and the fetus developed quite a bit, but there was no brain, heart or spine. When my period and sex dates matched up to my pregnancy/gestation age, I was 12 weeks and 5 days. The ultrasound showed the fetus to be only 10 weeks and 2 days. It had just stopped growing, but my body was not ready to let go of it yet. I go on weds 11/26 to have an ultrasound done, just to make sure that everything is not going in the direction i think it is. My dr does not seemed concerned, but then again, I really have no faith in their professional opinions. They "practice" medicine. I understand they do wonderful things, but until they get it right, they are still just practicing, or better yet- guessing.
