i cannot believe my son is over a week old now! im still not used to the fact that i am a mom lol. keep thinking im gonna have to give him back lol. i had started posting a birth story and was almost done when i accidently erased it..so i gave up. Gabe had his first dr appt. monday and he is very healthy and still gaining weight. he had only lost weight the second time they weighed him in the hospital and they told us he would lose more and that it was normal but when they weighed him the next day he had gained it back and has been gaining ever since! i think im going to have a very big boy! cant wait to see what he weighs in at on wed.! We were definately not prepared for how hard it would actually be as far as him not sleeping at night, but in less than 2 weeks he is already sleeping better and not staying up the entire night like he was...hopefully it stays that way! i feel so blessed to have this little baby! i can just sit and stare at his beautiful face forever. I never understood a mothers love for a child until now. it is the most amazing feeling! My husband has been awesome w/ helping out around the house and w/ gabe.. which i was scared he was gonna be awful and not help at all..i guess we will see if it changes when he goes back to work though..And for those of u who know about my mother situation, she is actually been decent for now. even asking to watch him so we can go out! (which i dont know if im ready for). Now its my hubby's mother who is being a problem.. questioning everything that i do and harping on things like the fact that i dont breastfeed which is none of her buisness, and showing up at my house unannounced. i told my hubby if she keeps it up he is going to have to have a talk w/ her. well my little man is waking up to eat soon. i will try to update again after his next appt.
