March 23, 2007

I can finally say that I have felt the baby move. I have felt something before but not enough for me to say it was the baby but today he moved around in my tummy for a while and even kicked me so I know it was him this time. Im so excited to finally feel him move. I feel so relieved.

April 16, 2007

I am 22 weeks 5 days pregnant and the baby is moving sooo much now. It makes me so happy to feel him move. I went for an ultrasound on Friday and got 4D pictures of him. I will post them soon. It was really cool watching him move and open his mouth on the screen. They said he weighs about 1pound 1 ounce at this time. I have a bladder infection I think the medication is making me feel a little sick but other than that I feel great.

I had a doctor's appt. today. The baby is doing great. Heard the heart beat. Its always nice to hear that! I had a lot of questions for the doctor but left my list at home and you know its hard to remember on the spot so I left off a few. I did remember to ask about my pelvic bone hurting. She said that was normal. Also I have heard many times that your not allowed to video the births now due to liability. I asked my doctor and she stated they do allow it so that made me very happy because I dont have a video of my other 2 births. I really wanted one this time. I also wanted to know about how they work as far as who delivers the baby. I really like this lady. She is in a practice with her husband and I think 2 other doctors but I have only had an appt. with her and her husband. I like them both but I like her better and she delivered my son. She stated they are on call but if you perfer one over the other for whatever reason they will make sure we are happy. I was really glad to hear that also. I also had to drink the stuff to test for diabetes and wait an hour to have my blood drawn. I hope the results are good because with my 3 year old son I had to do the next step which was horrible for me. I had to drink the stuff and have my blood drawn every 30 minutes. I hate needles. I was in tears when I left the office. Over all the visit went well. I go back in another 4 weeks and I think after that visit they will start doing an u/s every other visit due to my past history with high blood pressure. Until then take care!

Im 27 weeks today! I cant believe how fast the time is passing. Im getting a little nervous! I got the results back on my diabetes test today. I was so relieved to hear that it was normal. The nurse stated she would take my numbers any day. My thyroid however was a little off so they increased my dosage. No big deal. I feel so tired these days but no other complaints right now. Maybe the increase on the thyroid medication will help that!

Went to the doctor today. Blood pressure was great. I was on bed rest this time with my last pregnancy. I measured exactly 30 weeks. I have gained 30 pounds now. I have gained more this time than with my last pregnancy at full term. I feel good but have been under a lot of stress because my mom in in ICU for her lungs and heart. She is my rock and my person that I always talk to about my problems. So it has been really hard to go day to day without talking to her and having her talk back to me.

My mom got out of ICU last night and is doing a lot better. She should get out of the hospital tomorrow. I am very tired because I have been at the hospital from day light to midnight everyday for a week now. It will be great to have her back home.

My mom got to come home today. Its my birthday so it was a great birthday present to have her home. She had to come home on oxygen and will be on it for 4 weeks.

Today has been really hard because my stomach has been getting really tight all day. It started to have sharp pains also so I layed down for a while. It stopped hurting when I layed down which made me feel a lot better. I guess I have just been doing too much.

To the doctor today. Told them about the swing falling with me in it. They said if anything was going to happen it would have been in the first 48 hours. They put me on the monitor and everything looked great. My blood pressure was 110/76. I asked them about traveling to Hilton Head and they said it would not be a good idea due to my history. They said Hilon Head doesn't have a hospital that could handle my sisituation if something went wrong. Trista was not happy. I go back on Friday for an u/s. I go back twice a week now until the baby is born.

Today Mike's work gave us a baby shower. Mike didn't know about it but they had to tell me to get me there. It was really nice because I didn't think I would have a shower this time.

June 29, 2007

Today I had an u/s. They said the baby wieghs 4 pounds 14 ounces. She said his legs are short but his weight is average. I cant wait to see him. I also got a little scared because she said my fluid was low. She stated that she would do a couple more measurements and if the numbers didn't get better I would have to go to the hospital to be put on a monitor. She did the other measurements and said she got the numbers up but said I really need to drink more water. I hate water but whatever it takes to keep my little guy healthy! I go back to the doctor next Tuesday to get on the monitor again. I will not get an u/s next Friday due to the 4th of July holiday.

Today I had the non stress test. Everything was fine. Its so sweet to hear the baby's heart beat no matter how many times I hear it. The doctor came in and stated the test looks good. I asked him about the fluid level from my ultrasound on Friday. He stated the numbers are fine. I have been meaning to ask the doctor so many times but forget everytime Im there if I can eat eggs cooked over easy. I have been craving them so much. HE SAID YES! I came home and ate 3. They also said I lost 4 pounds since last week. Guess I gained them back with those 3 eggs. They stated that was fine to lose that much. If it had been like 10 pounds then they would be worried. I go back next Tuesday for another non stress test.

I had a doctor's appt. today. Had my blood drawn for the 35 week check. Also had the strep b test. The doctor checked me and said I was still completely closed up so no baby any time soon. They put me on the monitor and those results were also great. My blood pressure was perfect. Couldn't ask for better results. I go back on Friday for another u/s.

July 13, 2007

I had an u/s today. The baby has turned and is now head up. That really scares me. My fluid level is back up from 10 to 16 which is good. I guess I gave him more fluid to swim in so he decided to swim to a different possition. The lady didn't measure him today. She said the insurance doesn't like to do measurements but ever 4 weeks. She said she would measure him next week. Couldn't really get a good picture of him because his arms and legs were in the way but he didn't mind showing off his private parts.

July 17, 2007

I had an appt. for nonstress test today. The doctor said I was having contractions in a pattern but towards the end of the test they had stopped. I asked her about the baby being breech. She said that they can change position up until the baby comes but she wants me to keep c-section on my mind and read up on it so that I can ask questions at my next appt. if the baby hasn't changed positions. My strep b test came back neg. which is good. I go back on Friday for the u/s and hope the baby has changed positions at that time.

I had an u/s today. Baby is head down again! Im so relieved. He weighs about 6 pounds 7ounces. Got some new u/s pictures will post them below. He is so cute in the pictures, I cant wait to see him in my arms.

Daddy finally gave in after all these months of me trying to keep the sex from him. He said my family and I had slipped up too many times and he is sure he knows that we are having a boy. I am so glad that I can finally talk about my baby by name. He looked at my page for the first time and thought that it was really cool. That made me really happy because he hasn't really been that excited so far. I think knowing the sex makes him think about it as a real baby now.

Went to the doctor for my nonstress test. I was having regular contractions every 10 minutes so the doctor checked me and I as dilated almost 2. She said she thinks I will have the baby within the next week no more than 2 weeks. I am really stressed now just hearing that with all that I have left to do. My baby shower is this Sunday. I guess I will just do what I can and leave the rest until the baby is born. I have another u/s on Friday and another appt. scheduled for a nonstress test on Tuesday. My doctor said she thinks I will not make it to the Tuesday appt. We will just wait and see. I have continued having contractions but they still are not painfull just uncomfortable.

Today is Thursday and I have been having contractions since Tuesday. I was getting a little worried because I didn't have a bag packed so Trista and I went to Target to get things to pack my bag. The entire time I was in Target I was having contractions. They were about 3 to 5 minutes apart. When I got home I called the nurse on call. She told me to take a hot bath, take 2 tylenol, and drink 2 big glasses of water. If that didn't make them go away go to the hospital to be checked. I did what she said and they didn't go away so I packed my bags and off to the hospital we went. It was midnight by this point. I was still having contractions but still only dilated 1 to 2. They monitored me for about an hour and told me I could go on home. They said I was having contractions because I was dehydrated. I got dressed and started down the hall and began having really sharp pains on the right side of my back. I couldn't even walk they hurt so bad. The labor and delivery nurse came back to get me and took me back upstairs. They said they would keep me over night and let the doctor see me in the morning. It was a horrible night because I have restless leg sydrome and didn't have my medication. My legs drove me crazy. Anyway the doctor came in and said I probably had a muscle spasm. They checked me again and was still only dilated 1 to 2. The u/s tech came in to do an u/s and found baby Jack breech again. But everything else looked fine. She said he could change positions at anytime not to worry. They sent me home to wait it out. My shower is Sunday so I was kinda glad to get to go home to get things ready. The basement is finally finished so my parents and sisters came over to help me move Trista downstairs and paint Owens new room. I had to sit on the floor and paint the bottom as everyone else painted the top part. It was hard but we got it done. My sister will come back tomorrow to help me get the room set up and set up Jack's room. Im really excited about getting everything ready.

Oh my gosh I finally finished Owens room and setting up Jacks room at 2:00 A.M. I am so tired I had to get up this morning at 7:00 A.M. to finish cleaning for the shower. I had my family baby shower today given by my friend Uma and Trista. I was worried that I would have the baby before the shower but no such luck. Baby still there. The shower was so much fun and we got lots of great stuff for baby Jack. Pictures are posted below.

July 31, 2007

Today I woke up feeling really sick and crampy. I had an appt. but the doctor didn't seem to think it was anything. They put me on the nonstress test and baby Jack was all over the place. I had to hold the monitor down so that we could monitor his heart beat. I reminded the doctor that he was head up at the hospital on Friday so he did a quick u/s and he was head down again. Thank God! The doctor didn't even check me which dissapointed me a bit. I dont know if I have dilated anymore since the hospital or not. I guess I will just have to wait until next week to see. I only had one contraction while on the nonstress test. I think the doctor was ready for lunch because he didn't seem to take as much time with me today. He said everything looked great and he will see me next time. I have another appt. on Friday for an u/s. I have some gift cards from my babyshowers so I am going home to get Trista and Owen to shop for the baby stuff that I dont have yet.

Well Im back from shopping and I bought a highchair, walker, hamper, and a diaper depot. Now I just have to organize it all before baby Jack gets here.

I just got back from my u/s. Baby is still head down but hasn't dropped at all. He weighs about 8pounds 8ounces. She couldn't get a good 3D picture but did get a good profile. I will post it soon.
