02-9-2008 - Breast feeding! - at present! how its been!! 3 wks!

Sos i was up and down and around the bend with the breast feedin for last 3 wks!!

For first time this morn my baby took 20 mins!!! and i have now an over supply so plenty b4 it was only very slow! i had even to express b4 i gave her breast as flow was too fast so she definatley got the hindmilk in that feed!!

I was delighted and she settle and was content and went asleep after it! as b4 she be screamin for more after 20 mins milk was very low!! now im leakin i think because of all the pumpin!!! so they say a good 20 to 40 mins on breast is good!! Im hopin this is start of it and good feedin as i love to breast feed my baby! hate having to express all time cause she dont seem satified! esp wen your out and about can you imagine she cryin mad cause she not satified!! Iv over supply now so its fair fast all iv to worry abt now is wen im out and about how shall i express a bit b4 the breast feed to make sure my milk isnt too fast for her to eat comfortabley!

As i have to express a bit b4 feed as too fast she gag!! so that way too she def gettin the creamier fillin hindmilk and think that why 20 mins satified her today! she asleep 2 hours already now! if she was hungery she wake every 20 mins or hour like b4! I count the hours between from wen she finishs her feed!! read some where you should count from start of feed why that!! so my calculations she should be wakin in next hours time that be 3 hours between which i think is good and she does that 3 hours between wen i express too! - satified and in am at mo im giving her the bottle as she be fair sleepy to suck from breast as express milk be cold wake her up! with breast feed b4 no way she sleep 3 hours between! so in the am she now having a stretch of sleep for 5 hours which i find great!!!

we had about 3 nites in the past were we was up all the hours of clock with her i was so drained from constant feed and my milk was sooo low it was tough plus she seemed be windy too so she cried and cried! so please god things go good from this morn has been! and on! as its nice wen she is content no pain and happyly fed! and as parent your better rested! and able to cope more esp with 2 kids chores apps trips out dinners housework the lot!!!

so on i go!!!
