My mood while writing this blog: wonderous. |
Being a mommy is beyond great. Actually I don't have words to describe how I feel about it. Waking up countless times throughout the night, changing tons of dirty diapers, making bottles at 2am.. its all wonderful. I've never been so wanted in my life. This little man depends on me for EVERYTHING and I love knowing that I can help him!
He is 15 days old today. The time has flown by!! He has been having small problems here and there. As you all know he was born preemie so that right there is a major concern for everyone. Since leaving the hospital he has been jaundice, had abnormal test results, got thrush, and been switched back and forth on formula because he is lactose intolerant. His jaundice has been taken care of and we are so glad to see the biliblanket be gone. But we are still working on the test results, thrusth, and lactose problems. He was born at 6lbs 15oz and left the hospital as 7lbs 2 oz and is now down to 6lbs 7oz. His doctor is worried about his weight gain so he we were put on a new formula today which didn't stay down for ten minutes so we are going too add liquid formula to his regular formula to try to give him extra calories in hope that he'll gain some weight soon. His trush is being treated with some medicine and hopefully it'll be gone within the week. His test results that came back "abnormal" were his CAH results; which in normal people terms means that his adernial glands [sp?] are large and they are worried that they might have problems with them. We are going to have another test this week and HOPEFULLY they'll come back normal [like the ones last week] so we can put that behind us as well.
All in all Carson is a WONDERFUL baby. He wakes up 2-3 times during the night to eat and is right back asleep. He loves taking baths ONLY if he can be in the bathtub with his body fully submerged. He hates the baby bathtubs with the net support deals because he isnt in the water. He has been taking a bath everynight with Daddy, it seems to calm them BOTH down. haha.
Quick questions for you lovely ladies before I end this almost pointless blog.
1) When did your bleeding stop after having a vaginal delivery?
2) If you had stitches how long did they take to dissolve?
3) How old was your little one when you stopped covering up their carseat in public? [just a question for the future lol]
I'm gonna go feed my monkey butt and take a nap while he is sleeping. Sorry I've been MIA lately but hubby has been on paternal leave and finally went back to work today so I'm sure I'll be online more!! Much Love. Can't wait to see pictures of all of the April due date babies :)

Wednesday, 15 Apr Hi hun, I obviously can' t answer any of the questions (yet) but I'm so glad you're doing well and I hope all the results come back normal this time and he gets better soon. xxx AUTUMN -
Wednesday, 15 Apr Glad that you are loving Mommyhood... nothing better that's for sure! As far as bleeding: I bleed for about 5 weeks after both my babies, and I only had stiches with my son and they dissolved after about 3-4 weeks... and I didn't cover either one of their carseats in public... I hope you get better test results and that his lactose problems get better really soon :) LizDW -
Tuesday, 14 Apr I'm so glad to hear he's doing well. Deagan's respiratory problems are completely gone and I have to take him tomorrow for a weight check. He was 5lb 8oz last Thursday, so hopefully he's gained some weight. ***crossing fingers*** I'm trying to breastfeed the best I can but I don't feel like he's fully satisfied. I've been supplementing with formula at night so he'll sleep longer. Seems like he's up every hour with just the breastmilk alone. AidensMommy31108 -
Tuesday, 14 Apr aw thats so wonderful im glad you're enjoying being a mommy its amazing.. he'll gain his weight soon enough not to worry too much just gotta find the formula that works for him. as for the bleeding mine was like 3 weeks long and i did have stiches also like 6 i think and it took like 6 weeks untill it felt better down there it sucks i hated that i dreaded having to pee lol and for covering the baby i didnt cover my son at all that i remember just if he was sleeping too keep the light out and i took him in public since he was 4 days old lol he did just fine but he wasnt a premie either so it may be different for you just do what you feel comfortable with when you feel he's ready to be uncovered then do it you're the boss =) the scroggins -

Tuesday, 14 Apr glad to hear you're enjoying little carson. he's adorable. :) hope the three of you continue doing well, KIT! LittleMissPgt -
Tuesday, 14 Apr I think my bleeding lasted about 4 or 5 weeks but im not sure. I had stitches with my first child and it took about 3 weeks for those to disolve. since carson is a premie i would keep him covered all the time but when hes a little older and doing better i wouldnt do more then put a receiving blanket over him.
