| 30-7-2009 - four months old. | My mood while writing this blog:excited. |
This is take TWO. I had the whole dang page filled with pictures and paragraphs and somehow I accidently hit the damn BACKSPACE button which deleted my WHOLE page. urgh. So, lets try this one more time. [= annnnd I'm actually on time writing this blog! GO ME!! haha.
Well, in last months blog I mentioned we had TRIED giving him cereal out of a spoon and he didn't seem the least bit interested so I kinda stopped for a week or so and decided I would give it another try. The first time he didn't do too well so I added just a little bit of karo syrup to it and he LOVED it. Well, I knew I shouldn't add karo syrup to it everytime so I just tried it without the next day and he took it. He acts like a baby bird when feeding him. He'll take his bite, swallow, then have his mouth wide open and ready for the next bite. Its so cute!

he was more worried about me not being in his sight. lol
His sleeping schedule is NICE. He gets his final bottle [8oz] at anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30 then he lays in his crib and talks until he falls asleep. I'm kidding you not I'll turn his crib soother on and the second the lights turn off [I think its like a five minute timer] he is OUT of it. Its so nice because before I would have to hold/rock him until he fell asleep. Thankfully not anymore. When I see he is fighting his sleep during the day I'll lay a pillow down and lay him propped up on it, cover him up and give him his paci and he is out. Ahh!

i sat him there to make me something to drink
and this is how he was when i came back. lol
We are still working on the whole rolling over thing. If we lay him on his belly he'll roll straight over to his back but he seems to have NO interest in rolling back over. He'd rather lay there and play with his hands or just talk. He can push himself up off of his belly [I think they are called mini pushups or something] and look around for a good while. I'm ready for him to roll over the other way but people say once he learns that he won't stay still. LOL. He also loves when you hold his hands and let him stand up. He does it in the bathtub and then sits down really quick and splashes. He'll give you the BIGGEST smile when he splashes.

We are going to Daytona Beach, Florida this weekend for a week. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. I'm not too sure how he is going to handle the almost 14 hour car ride ONE WAY. We are talking about leaving late Sunday night after Carson gets his bath and night time bottle so we are atleast given a couple of hours before he wakes up. When we are heading to town he stays awake the WHOLE time like he is too nosey to miss something which worries me on the ride. If you have ANY tips on long car rides with a four month old PLEASE send them my way. He has become really attached to this puppy dog blanket. If you give it to him he'll hug it and bring it up to his face. I have a feeling he'll want to have a blanket when he gets older. lol.

he was SCREAMING until I gave him his puppy dog.
He has his four month appointment and shots today. My husband is going with me this time. There is no way I can hold my poor baby down while they give him shots, I'd rather my husband be the bad guy! I'm not sure if I blogged about it or not but the back right side of Carson's head was almost completely flat from him laying on that side. I was so worried he was going to have to wear a helmet to help round it back out. I had one of the sleep positioners so I swaddle him at night and lay him on his left side. I looked at it last night and it looks back to normal. I'm still going to tell his doctor to look at it. Thank God it went back on its own! Hopefully I can just let him lay how he pleases but I'm worried it'll go flat again.
Anyways girlies I have to go get ready for the day and prepare myself for his appointment. I'll be MIA while in Florida so I'll update when I get back! xoxo
