My First Appointment Today 2/15/08

not heartbeat and no baby on the ultra sound.

no period
positive pregnancy test
enlarged uterus to the size of 8 weeks pregnant(which is where i am)


i have another u/s on the 26th to see what the hell is going on

Sorta First Ultrasound 2/26/08

And it was awesome!!!! The tech found the baby in a second and you could see the heart beat. 167 bpm. She said that was a good rate. And then measured the baby which put me at 8 weeks 5 days instead of 9 weeks 3 days. Which if my midwife decides to go by that I will be due October 2 instead of September 27. I was so set on being due on that day, but since seeing the baby, I don’t care when I’m due. I have a HEALTHY BABY!!!! She took picture of my ovaries and everything so I will find out on the 4th if anything worries them about that. But.. yeah..... I have a baby!!!! And it’s alive and well!!!! YAY!!!!!

2nd Appointment 3/4/08

She found the heartbeat right away. It was 144 bpm. It’s healthy and strong but on the slower side. Which according to the wives tales says it’s a boy. But Melora’s was even slower that 144. So who knows. She is keeping the due date the same since it was only a 5 day difference. So I am still due in October. I had all my blood work done. I had it done with Melora and the only thing was the RH factor, which turned out to be irrelevant with Melora since she also had negative blood. But there is always a possibility since Daniel has A+ that the baby will have + blood and I will need the full Rh treatment. I only had the 26 week shot with Melora since all the after birth stuff wasn’t needed. Well enough rambling about that. She said the u/s sound looked good and I asked her all my questions. Which every "problem" I have been having are all NORMAL and some even HEALTHY!! (ie morning sickness is a great sign that the pregnancy took well, cramps are a sign that the uterus is growing, etc)

Not much else to report. My next appointment is on April 1, 2008. I’m on the same appointment schedule that I was with melora. 10 wk, 14 wk, 18 wk, and then with Melora we made an u/s appointment at 20 weeks. So sometime in may I’ll get to find out what I’m having. EVERYONE!!! Start thinking PINK now!!!

3rd Appointment 4/1/08

Today I went in for just a normal appointment. But I brought up the bleeding that I was having from Easter on and the cramping I’ve been having for the last month. So she checked the heart rate, 160 bpm and then sent me over to get an ultrasound to make sure the baby was ok since bleeding this far along is BAD. Well the tech said everything looked great. Nice and healthy and normal. She got a heart rate of 144 bpm. Exciting part: the BABY!!!! Arms, legs, hands, feet, it was laying on it’s side and it had it’s legs crossed at the ankle and pulled up and was waving it’s arms around. Every once in awhile it would move in a sort of spasm type way. And it was rolling around. Facing us then not. It was so cute. We even saw the baby YAWN!!! It was so adorable!!! The baby is 3 inches long crown to rump and growing right along track. My last u/s put my due date on 10/2 this one said 10/1. So it’s all good and healthy. She would have checked gender but at this point they all look like boys. So it wouldn’t matter. Also, because of the bleeding I was having they decided to give my the RH shot early since my blood is negative and Daniel’s is positive the baby could have positive blood. But Melora didn’t, so hopefuly!!!

Next appointment is April 29, 2008 at 9:00 am. I will be 18 weeks 3 days. So only 2 weeks later will be the big u/s.
