25-10-2009 - Intuitional thoughts~Twins~

My mood while writing this blog:
Optimistic

I just can't seem to get over my obsession on the thought that I could be having twins.

Age 37- Recently read that the peak age to conceive twins is between the ages of 35-39 with a 5% rate. I also read that the true peak age is 37.

My grandmother on my fathers side was a twin.

I have been exceptionally nauseous and tired with this pregnancy, more so than with my previous pregnancies. I know this could be age.

And I am pretty huge and high. I am sticking out most just at the top of my belly button and it is hard.

I could cry at the drop of a hat.

I would just LOVE to have twins (boy or girl) so maybe it is just high hopes, and I guess until it is a confirmed single I just want to chat and have fun with it.

So what are your thoughts? I won't be offended by honesty.;)

Twins would be fun! Although i hope that i never have twins, i don't think i could handle two babies at once... I'd go crazy... Oh, thank you for sending me to read that poem, it was just what i needed to hear, (even though what i want to hear is "you're pregnant") lol. Tomorrow at my apointment i'm going to beg for an ultrasound, because i just have to know whether or not there's a little baby in there, and i've heard from so many women who didn't find out they were pregnant until many many weeks into the pregnancy, just because the test results were always negative and the doctors wouldn't do an ultrasound if the test is negative. Ugh, i hope i can convince them.

Tell your doctor that twins run in your family and ask if you can get a u/s to check. I had my doctor check with my first one because my husband's brothers are twins. I was later told that twins run through the mom's side and not the dad's side so I did not have my doc check for my second pregnancy. I found out around the 6 month mark that I was, indeed, having twins. I always had the feeling I would. This pregnancy the doc ordered an u/s at 6 weeks to check because I have twins already and because I am in my 30's. There was only one though. I say, if you have the feeling you should have them check.
