| 11-11-2009 - 24 wk appt | My mood while writing this blog:happy |
We had our 24 wk appt and everything looked great with Austyne. I then spoke to my doctor about my trip to the ER the week before. I had my first migraine ever and it made the left side of my face go numb. After having that and being down all day from it Thursday. I had a class that I needed to study for at the lab on Saturday (anatomy) and by that nigh to Sunday I was down again with another migraine. We figured it to be the formaldehyde that was giving me the migraines. I also didn't think about it and just thought it was the pregnancy but I was always complaining of a headache every week after lab to my husband. After telling my ob all of this he told me that I needed to drop the class for the sake of the baby. As soon as he told me that; that was all I needed. I then emailed my instructor about what I was doing because that is what my OB said to do for the baby. I also told him about the migraines and he emailed me back with info that had nothing to do with the migraines and about that there is no evidence that the fumes from formaldehyde would harm the fetus.
I let my husband read it and he too was like he might have his Phd but he is not a medical doctor and doesn't know my history or anything about me. And for him to refer to the baby as a fetus, yes it is still considered a fetus but to me it is my BABY and my OB doesn't even call the baby a fetus in front of me, he refers to him as a baby.
Sorry about my ranting but I was pretty POed about that email. Also my next appt will be my glucose test.
