24-7-2008 - Getting excited..

My mood while writing this blog: Prepared..Anxious!

Yesterday afternoon I was experiencing contractions every 4-6 minutes. So my husband and I headed to our hospital where I was assessed and told I was in early labour. I was examined 1 cm 50% effaced.. So I was thinking.. "GREAT, I'm going to have this baby." As you probably have guessed my hospital doesn't have WiFi.. So YES I am back at home.They sent me home and told me to return once my waters have broken, if I have seen blood or if my contractions have doubled up in intensity..

I returned home after an 4 hours of observation, which wasn't so bad. It sort of prepared me for I will looking forward to once the real thing unfolds.

I was scheduled to see my Doctor today at 10 am. I was told this could go on for weeks... I gave her the WHAT R-U-TALKING-ABOUT ?FACE..

Found out that I gained a pound one pound and that I looked tired.. She really knows what to say! I guess seeing me without concealer scared the poor lady LOL. I told her my bags were a result of awaking 17 times last night to urinate and and 4 or 5 times because of my contractions.

She said everything looked good and confirmerd I was in fact going into early labour.. But couldn't give me an actual estimate of when to expect baby Simba.. Thanks!

My contractions have grown further apart, about every 6- 10 minutes.. And have weakend .. However if I walk around or if I am sitting upright they feel stronger. My seat bone and buttocks are SORE!!!

My doctor told me to try walking around.. And to allow my cervix to soften by taking a warm bath. What's crazy is I dont know how long this is going to take, I have left my hospital bag in the car just in case.. It could sit in the back seat for the next 3 weeks and I wouldn't mind!

I will say this.. Ever since they told me to watch out for my bloody show or waters trickling I have been an absolute fool once my panties are moist..

My son is MORE active, every person whether proffessional or personal has reacted in pure amazement to what this little boy can do.. He shakes,punches kicks stiffens.. In about a minute! LOL..

He has become a little more aggressive - I dont know if he happy to go and wants out... Or if he is realizing he is now being timed and is looking at eviction.I do feel prepared.. I am actually Wearing my dark pants and sleeping on thick towels..Wouldn't want any HORRIBLE accidents.

Hey girl, wow sounds like you are going through alot. Keep us updated I know its frustrating to have to go back and forth and be paranoid about blood or liquid...we don't have that much longer so hold on. I hope things get better and our sons must be long lost twins because my son is so active I am ready for him to come out...I feel like he is trying to push his way out sometimes...

That is great, but just to let you know I have been walking around dialated at a 2 and 75% effaced for two weeks, so don't get yourself get to worked up!! Just enjoy this last bit of time to yourself!!! I hope Simba makes an early appearance, Kori is taking her sweet ass time. They sched an inducement of Aug. 5th if she is that late I'll scream, that's five days, uuuuugggghhhhhh I'm sure she'll come any day. I lost my mucas plug and can barely walk I go back to the Dr. on Mon. I'll let you know! Keep me intouch with the lil man that would be freakin awesome if you delivered right at 38 weeks. The last 3 days have just been miserable in week 39, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya sis. xoxo kristin
