14-12-2009 - Hard headed!

I started having contractions on Friday that were a constant 3-5 min apart, but were not very painful. I went ahead and went to the hospital. They hooked me up to monitors for almost 3 hours, the nurse checked me before and after and I had stayed at 1 1/2 centimeters dilated. So she gave me two ambien (will not take again) and sent me home. I went to my doctor appointment later that day and I had dilated to 2 1/2 so she said that I would probably have the baby over the weekend. However, the contractions slowed and then picked back up on Saturday. When I woke up on Sunday I wasn't having any contractions, but my legs and stomach were real sore. So I rested. Still real sore today and now I am having a lot of pain and pressure down there and a few contractions. I just don't know what this baby wants from me. I am so ready to just hold him in my arms. I am really hoping that I start having some good contractions today!

...and what happened with the Ambien? I wouldnt know because I didnt take it lol.

OMG!!! Your weekend sounds like mine lol. They gave me ambien too but I didn't take it. I've been too afraid to take any medicine throughout my pregnancy, My contractions were 3-5mins apart on Friday night and were strong at first then died down. When I went to the L&D Saturday morning, they measured my contractions at 3mins apart but I wasnt really feeling them...only felt discomfort. I've had contractions Sunday and Monday as well and have been very sore since then. I havent been back to get checked since I have an appointment this Friday morning. I'm pretty sure I probably dilated more considering I've had contractions since then. Maybe we'll ave our babies this weekend together!!! lol. I'll be praying for you :)) I hope you feel better.

Awww maybe he'll come soon your almost 37 weeks and according to my doctor that's full term! I feel you on just wanting to see him I want to see my little fella too!

If baby can try and hold out for a cpl more weeks that would be great! I had my 1st 3 weeks early and he had some complications. He had to stay in hospital for 3 weeks. I hope that doesn't scare you but it looks like you are 4 weeks until term. Better if we can make it somewhere pretty close to that I'm sure. :)
