21-5-2009 - School today.

My mood while writing this blog:
confused

On wednesday the teacher called us and informed us that Hailey's three year IEP meeting is set for next Tuesday. That is a progress report. Anyway, so today at 3:00 p.m. the teacher called and said that school was going good but at the end of the day when Hailey had her one on one study time with the teacher she freaked out. They said that Hailey was pinching herself, this is funny because Hailey doesn't have the ability to make a pinch with her hands she is not very good at delicate things. Her teacher then said that after they got her calmed down they noticed her arm was red. She told me that she wanted me to know so she called. Later on tonight her dad and I noticed that bruises had formed and not pinch bruises but finger print bruises from an adult hand grabbing the arm to pick her up. Should I take pictures for future use? She is pale skinned but still to blame it on the child of course, Hailey can't explain it to us. I really wasn't upset about it except that they didn't just say they had a hard time getting Hailey up off the floor or whatever it was. After all we have our share of problems at home, just be honest with us. Hmmm... oh yea, her teacher actually said are you sure you want Hailey to take the summer off. DUH, she has been going year round since age 3. We want one summer before the baby to show her that we love her and have time for her needs.

I would take pictures and confront them to the teachers and report it. I'm sorry that is uncalled for and not telling the truth of what happened would set me over the edge. I'm thinking of you and your dear little girl. Much love and God bless.

i would definitely take pics cuz the next thing there might want to say is that hailey is being abuse at home,i would also report it so you will have proof,i feel so sorry for your little one and can't you change school.

I agree honey. I would take pictures and report it, if the teacher has nothing to hide then she would understand your concerns and work with you on it. But at the very least protect you and yours, because if this is a problem teacher then the last thing you need is lies and accusations at yourselves whilst this person covers their tracks, We all know that unfortunaltely these people in 'authority' can manage to twist things easily. This is just so horrible to hear that this is happening to a child i think that u should definately take pictures that shouldnt even be an option school is so close to being out why cant she just stay home it seems like things are just getting worse and i know u would be heart broken if anything worse happened god forbid but i just really feel like she should stay home i mean for a teacher to lie about what happened who knows what else they are covering up
