rang my doctor today to get my blood test results got my blood taken last wed had to wait a week for results ( irish health care dont ask) my iron is low thats ok wasent really woried about the iron what i really wanted to know was the HCG levels.Doctor says why would they check ur HCG level. Iam so mad. I have four kids and i had never heard of HCG ontill i had a misscarrige on march22 09. and was told HCG was only 148 was 7 weeks pregnant told that was too low they cant do a scan to see if there was anything there levels need to be in thousands.... for peace of mind i just wanted to see normal levels not to be told they dont check it. Wount be haveing scan ontill between 12 -14 weeks. ITS a long wait just to find out if there is a baby.

It's hard it really is I had a miscarriage end of last year and fell pregnant 3 months later. The same I was told to wait for 11 week scan. In the end they did blood for hcg and early scan as I had tiny bit of implantation bleeding. That was at 8 weeks and all was fine. I'm noe almost 19 weeks and all going well. I'm sure this time things will be great.xx
