i finally had my first midwife appt today. and everything is good. we heard the heart beat. she said it was fast but did not tell me how much. i go back in 6wks since i am low risk and everything goes well. i am to have my u/s around 18-19wks to make sure he/she is ok. i will not be finding out the sex as i have a boy and girl and i kept all their clothing so i will not need much. we are trying to decide if we want to give birth in their in office birth center or in the hospital. the hospital in about 8mins away if i would need to be transfered. if we do deliver in the center then we stay only 4-5hrs after the birth and then go home. which i like and don't like. i have depended on the nurses in the past to take the baby for a few hours so i could get some sleep. but if i am home i am a lot more comfortable and may be able to sleep better anyhow. i also just enjoy being a little pampered. and not have to make meals. but i miss my family being there with me. if any one has had an out of hospital birth please let me know what you thought. thanks! hope everyone is getting all their christmas shopping done.

Hey girl!!! Great to hear that everything is going so smoothly!!! So--what do you think of this weather we are having....yuck!!! I would rather have snow. Hope you are having a nice week:)
