10-1-2009 - where we are delivering

My mood while writing this blog: great

well yesterday i had our tours of the birthing center and hospital. the bc is very homey and nice. the hospital looks like it came from ikea. we are going to deliver at the hospital. the reason being is that when i have the baby i am going to need the 1-2days to recover. with 3 children at home and ethan is my shadow so i will not be able to get the rest that i need. ryan will be off a wk or two but ethan is so clingy to me that he does not go to ryan too much and with me holding and paying attention to a baby he is going to have some issues. so i thought it best for both baby and i to stay at a hospital. in the birth center you stay 4-10hrs to recover and make sure all is good. but then you go home. if this was my first or second i would do the bc but not with now especially cause of ethan. he is so spoiled. i feel bad that he is not going to get as much attention when the baby comes. he is my little boy and i love him to pieces but i felt the same with all my kids and it is working good. so i am sure it will work out fine. i am feeling great. nausa gone and got most of my energy back. i have not gained anything so far but lost 2lbs which could just be water but at this point since i am already overweight it is better then gaining. i will have plenty of gaining in the last few months. i will be 17wks mon. i have and u/s scheduled for feb 4 to make sure everything looks ok with the baby. hope you all are doing well. enjoy your weekend.

The hospital sounds really nice, our hospital over here is basic, your in and out ASAP. I'm so excited for my ultrasound, my ultrasound date is 02/02/09. Keep me posted on your ultrasound. Have a great week=)

Hey...boy I hear you on the "shadow" thing....Chase is exactley the same...it is going to be a big adjustment for him when the baby comes. He is also very clingy with me. I don't mind it..but he will have to get used to sharing me with the baby too...Colton will be just fine...he is my Godsend:) Hope you are having a nice weekend:)

I would do the same thing...I really enjoy the 2 day period to just rest and get to know the new little one...It is a lifesaver. So do you think your having a boy or girl??

Oh I agree with you, you will need the rest for a day or two depeending on how the delivery goes. That priceless nights sleep after my 23 hour labor with Lilly was like gold to me!
